AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The slogan goes, "Don't Mess With Texas." But with President Barack Obama in the White House a more appropriate cry might be: "Try it and we'll sue."
The Texas attorney general's office has filed 24 lawsuits against the federal government since Obama took office — litigation that has cost the state $2.58 million and more than 14,113 hours spent by staff and state lawyers working those cases.
....Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said the costs are worth it, calling the litigation "a fight against the unprecedented ideology coming from the Obama administration." In an interview, he said the legal battles he wages are meant to promote industry and protect Texas jobs.
Abbott took office in 2002 and sued the federal government three times between 2004 and 2007 while fellow Republican George W. Bush was president. But the floodgates opened under Obama, with Texas suing two dozen times since 2010. Sixteen of Abbott's lawsuits challenged environmental regulations.
....Texas has won five of Abbott's 27 cases, lost eight and had two others dismissed because the regulations or laws being challenged were lifted or repealed by Congress. The other 12 are pending.....

That’s but a fraction of the costs TX spends on incarceration costs for its workforce.
Obama is playing an equal opportunity black punk but in actuality, Obama is working for the Muslim cause to destroy the west and control the world.

Egypt gov't overthrown, Muslim Brotherhood already in control
Iraq: US Troops out as things were being controlled. US Press is not reporting the terrorist attacks in Iraq.
Syria: Once Obama and his allies overthrow the gov't, radical Islam will muscle it's way to the top just like in Egypt.
Obama, screwing up everything he touches. You may understand that, but you probably don't even suspect nor will you believe he is a Muslim terrorist playing President.
If we want to sue the feds... it needs to be skilled retired attorneys of conservative constitutional persuasion.. who have their own income, who will form a “Joe Arpaio” posse to file these suits. There is nothing in the “forma” of filing a suit that has changed so much (other than maybe internet stuff, online filing etc.) that these PATRIOTS could do to stop the feds, and do this legally.
To not pursue what is right, simply because of “cost” issues begs the question— what is the “cost” of letting it continue. But if you’re gonna argue “cost” then elminate the cost, and do it for the right PATRIOTIC reasons for our Republic. Deo Vindice.

Money well spent if you ask me. Who else is going to stand up to Washington even if your challenge is to be “judged” by Washington itself.
It is better to say something to a tyrant and be turned down publicly than to have never said anything at all.
At least we now unequivetly know that even Washington’s hand picked employees in black robes regard Washington’s power as effectively boundless(constitution-less). Such knowledge is indispensable in justifying a revolt against their openly admitted authoritarian lawlessness.
It is regrettable that even such questions must be so expensive, but such is the nature of the complete injustice of D.C.

Texas attorney general Greg Abbott
At age 26, Abbott was struck by a falling oak tree that injured his back as he jogged by. He has been in a wheelchair ever since.
How much you wanna bet that if Texas had not sued, we would still be living under thoses laws. While one can bemoan the costs of the litigation, you should also count the savings of overthrown legislation. A stunningly good investment by the good Texan Leadership.
It is also cheap compared to the additional Medicaid expenses Obamacare would force on Texas.
Best money we’ve ever spent. EVER!
I really hope Abbott seriously considers running for Governor when Perry’s term is up. Even injured, his backbone puts Perry’s to shame.
I was going over that very premise yesterday with some folks.
Lt. Gov. Dewhurst is probably going to try for the gov slot.
If Greg takes a stab at it Dewhurst may have a repeat performance of getting “primaried.”
Then again Greg may just stay right where he is and finish his fights.
That does not mean I would not love to see him run for Governor.
Senator Cruz could campaign with Greg... HA!

I work for the Legislature but I have to keep my real ID confidential.
We are not allowed to express out viewponts nor are we allowed to campaign for anyone; not even bumper stickers or yard signs.
I do understand thier reasons however.
You know, that's one thing that pisses me off: you do not lose inalienable rights because of government policy; otherwise they are not unalienable.
Besides which that policy is illegal; TX Constitution:
Art 1, Sec. 8. FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND PRESS; LIBEL.Further, absolute disapproval of government is specially protected:
Every person shall be at liberty to speak, write or publish his opinions on any subject, being responsible for the abuse of that privilege; and no law shall ever be passed curtailing the liberty of speech or of the press.
