The state polls and race for electoral votes shows to be unchanged from the last GOP2112 analysis of the electoral vote race published here August 25, 2012. Not a single state has moved into a different category since then, and Romney maintains the electoral vote lead of 317 to 179 over Obama with 42 electoral votes from Pennsylvania, Minnesota, New Mexico and Oregon remaining in toss-up status. The map above shows which ways the states are leaning in this presidential race.
Here is information and analysis on some of the key swing states: ....

Its complete bullsh*t that a mere two or three states, essentially, can keep the inept marxist kenyan in this race.
Oregon, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania are tossups? I don’t think so.
What alternate universe is this from??? This is UTTER crap. Romney is getting killed in the EV. Can we PLEASE stop living in fantasy land and just looking for what we want to hear and at least make SOME attempt to resurrect Conservatism??
This map is crap.
Is this from the Onion? Romney is trailing in WI, MI, OH and FL. Also PA, OR, and MN are not toss ups. They are deep blue 0bama states.
I’m surprised they put Oregon, NM and PA in the tossup side. I always thought they were going for Obama.
In fact, I had all but given up on OR and NM.
Also, why is Michigan leaning Romney? Ins’t this the UAW and the GM state? I’d expect them to lean Obama because of the GM and Chrysler bailouts.
Yah, seems off, but NM poll today has Romney within 5 in likely voters. So, “tossup” maybe? Certainly “leaning” Obama is as far as I’d go.
Not sure about this map’s call but it is the correct approach in that our Presidential election is by states rather than a winner take all popular vote nationally. There will be less than a dozen swing states in which this election will be determined, imo.
I, too, hope this one is correct.
“Oregon, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania are tossups? I dont think so.”
Indeed. This Examiner graphic must have come straight from The Onion
NM has one of the highest rates of welfare dependency in the US. It should be squarely in the Obama column.
If America only knew.....
(And if somebody doesn’t REALLY expose the Marxist/Muslim sob to the American people, we will lose again.)

Just a few pages from the massive file:
2012 is an important year to remember 9/11 because our younger generations are the most in danger of forgetting what really happened.
Or worse, our younger generations are susceptible to getting a politically correct view of 9/11. Many on the Left have tried to turn 9/11 into a day of national service or a celebration of tolerance, instead of remembering that radical jihad attacked this nation because of our western values.

Question: How can the aggregate of voters below 50 be in favor of Obama and Romney be ahead, much less by this much? There can’t be that many more 50 and above voters. Anyone know the % of population below 50 and 50 and above?
“That goof at the NYT, Nate Silver, already has the invitations printed for Obamas second inaugural.”
It’s all part of the plan...
...at least you and I aren’t falling for it. :)
Next week they will have Washington DC as a toss-up lean Romney.
Don’t you love middle America? I’ll always love America. I graduate from law school next spring at 65. Maybe there’s something I can do to help, I hope.
Did you read the analysis? It sounds spot on to me.
OK, I felt good for about a minute until I read your post. I don’t want to live in a fool’s paradise. Can you post a verifiably more accurate map or a link to one?
Pennsylvania is not a deep blue state, you’re just wrong about that.
Think of it as “Pittsburgh and Philadelphia with Alabama in between”. :)
I always like it when I see that you’ve posted that!
I’ve got the obamafile in my favorite bookmarks now, Thanks to You! :)
No he is not. He behind in MI and ahead in WI, OH and FL
He’s been posting that same crap over and over since he got here.
BTW, he has said he does not look at his replies so don’t expect an answer.
It sure looks great from a “what-if” standpoint, but what data is driving the idea that PA, MN, NM, and Oregon are “tossups” and how are WI and MI “leaning GOP?” It`s fun to play with that RCP map.. I do it too, but what is giving credibility to this?
I tend to agree that most of the undecideds out there will eventually become Romney votes and that Obama's percentage of actual vote total will be <45%. Probably 55-44% or 56-43% (with the remaining 1% going to third party candidates).
With all my heart, it's where I'm from and where I live.
We got to remember that people will LIE to the poll agencies folks so as NOT to be viewed as racist. What takes place in the voting booth is all that matters. PLUS who are going to be the folks showing up and it is those who are FED-UP with the horrible mismagement of this nation or who are dealing with what I call “buyers remorse” over voting for Obama. Otherwise many of those who have voted for Obama will simply STAY HOME.
The PACS for Romney are doing their job.
I couldn’t agree more. I also have no patience for koolaid drinkers who have no concept of reality, liberal or conservative either one.
Thank-you for making my Sunday night!
I have noticed that there is a lot of naysaying going on this and on a number of threads. Hope there is NO trolls trying to invade FR.
Real Clear Politics version:
Obama: 221 - Toss-up: 126 - Romney: 191
A ton more analysis here:
Obamao 316.9 - Romney 221.1
This is a lie.
This reminds me of 1980 all over again if you ask me. Agian let’s not get into a panic okay.
The writer does an analysis of 7 key swing states to explain his projection. At this point, I’d say his guess is as good as anybody’s and I sure like his positive attitude!
This map is crap.
Is this from the Onion?
yes, this map is crap.
because, it is not even as close as this says.
Obama is down in EVERY demographic.
in some, like Catholics (including “liberal Catholics),
Obama is down 27% from last time.
...a 27 point swing?
even college students are leaving Obama in droves.
and, gas prices, etc, will only accelerate it.
and any “October surprises”, will help Romney.
Fast and Furious. the falsifying of unemployment numbers,
...even some in the liberal media, are abandoning Obama!
You got it, the undecideds, do not be surprised that they will tip more in favor of Romney. They see what is REALLY is going on out there.
Is that just your opinion or can you post something tangible, like a link please.
AMEN to that.
As they say, the rats or mice are fleeing a sinking ship.
Well, that’s the nature of the electoral college.
On the plus side, we’ve got most of the south locked up before the race even begins. So it works both ways, I suppose.
I’d love for these numbers to be the actual case at this point, but I don’t buy it. Romney is in pretty good shape despite the current DNC bounce for Obama, but nothing I’ve seen from Rassmussen or any other reliable polling agency that suggests he’s anywhere near this level.
It’s going to be a scrap all the way to election day, folks. I pray for a Romney/Ryan landslide, but I believe we have to be prepared for a 2004-ish nailbiter.
SurveyUSA poll of registered voters gives Obama a 47 to 43 percent lead
Note that this is registered voters not likely so it’s even closer.
Obama is down 12 from the 2008 election.
Obama or Romney is going to be the next President. When you spend all your time trashing Romney, you do one thing, help Obama
That may not be your intention, it is the result of your actions.
That you spend all your time actively campaigning for an pro gay marriage, pro taxpayer funded abortion on demand up to birth candidate like Obama, while bitching about Romney not being politically pure enough for you, demonstrates that you are absolutely without a single shred of intellectual credibility.
Sorry your candidate of choice did not win the GOP nomination. Quit crying about it. Your petulant attempts to trash the GOP because they did not do what YOU thought they should is childish and politically self-defeating
and the poll that lied the most,
was the one that said it was 94 to zip,
that was simply a “Bagdad Bob” operation,
to try to keep blacks one LIBERAL plantation.
after Obama turned for gay rights, etc.,
he has certainly lost at least SOME black votes.
so, that poll, was clearly a fraud.
You are definitely right about the geography of PA and its voting tendencies (I used to live in rural PA).
However, on the aggregate, PA is a blue state in national elections. They haven’t given their electoral votes to a Republican since Bush 41 in the 80s.
The Psychic Network is never at a loss for members! :)
Not only D.C., but next week it wouldn’t surprise me to see this analyst have Illinois, New York and California in the “Toss Up/Leans Romney” category.
This is what gets me really angry with some of the posts on this and a number of other threads. They do not realize that when you bash Romney/Ryan, you simply help Obama/Bidden get elected again.
The bashing has to end, time to get out there and support Romney/Ryan!
Obama is running no stop ads in California. Is he worried or just has a lot of cash to blow? I’m not saying he will lose CA. but he sure feels the need to shore things up here.
Here's a link to the NY Times exit poll of 2008 by various categories. You can have tons of fun playing these numbers against 2012 projections.
2008 was a fluke of monsterous proportions. There is no way in Hell Obama wins in 2012.
