With no advance fanfare, Tim Geithner quietly completed the Nation’s Triathlon in not-bad-not-bad-at-all time Sunday morning. Race organizers didn’t even know the Treasury secretary, 51, was among the 5,000 entrants until they spotted him cross the finish line in West Potomac Park.

His time of 2:33:07 for the 500-meter swim, 40K bike ride and 10K run placed him ninth in his age class.

Not exactly an Ironman but not too shabby nonetheless. He may need all that speed to outrace the crowds chasing him out of town when we find out the details of his malfeasance come next Jan.20.

They didn’t know he was in the race until they saw him ccross the finish line? Based on his attention to his own taxes, are they sure that he didn’t pull a “Rosie” (the gal who hid behind a bush and ran only the last segment of the Boston Marathon)?
