I see the above is making an argument about rape-conseption-abortion.

Democrats seized on this by pointing out that medicaid funding laws have loopholes for rapes that Republicans felt forced to include, but then they specified the rapes be forced rapes.

So then Dems tied this definition to the RNC platform of outlawing all rapes at the Federal level and they had something that polled badly against Rs, that Republicans (white males) would force women all over the country to carry unborn babies conceived from rape to birth because they think rape is no big deal(another trap). Yet there is no way Republicans would do this at the Federal level. Republicans had a advantage on this issue for years.

No Federal Amendment is going to pass. It is best to let the states pass morality laws. It be better to work on Defeating Dems federal morality/justice/fairness laws and cutting off federal funding of abortion and naturally overturning Roe.

the whole akin thing was an excercise in placing the wrong context on the issue, ie he shouldve spoken his pro-life mind, and encouraged the states to act, just as you descibe...gut the beast at the fed, then the states will have to be gutted eventually too...
