Still, Kenya could grant the person their own parliament has described as a native son of Kenya honorary diplomatic immunity, and the State Department could accredit him.
Who in State would dare not to?

Obama having diplomatic immunity would make it much more likely, not less likely, that he would be impeached. It would be prima facie evidence that he was disqualified from holding the office, and it would do nothing to protect him from the proceedings, since it isn’t a criminal matter. Also, diplomatic immunity is a privilege that we grant to foreign diplomats, it is not something that we are bound to abide by in all situations.

He could not take it while in office without the consent of congress (GOP in the house would never let it happen). State could not do anything with it.

If that were Kenya, hed be treated like a Living God. Not much downside for him.OK, so he'd have a bigger mud hut than everybody else ... maybe a few rocks on the dirt floor and more sticks on the roof. But if he had to take Michelle with him, there wouldn't be much downside for us, either ;-)

What if Kenya made Romney a citizen and granted him diplomatic status as well? We’d really be up the creek then.

Romney wasn’t born with Kenyan citizenship. Obama was.

So? Neither one is a Kenyan citizen. If it’s legal for Kenya to bestow citizenship on one then it’s just as legal to do it
for the other. Under your scenario Kenya could deny us a president forever.

Under international standards and existing US law Obama was born with dual Kenyan/US citizenship.
Show me where he repudiated his Kenyan citizenship.

Show me where he repudiated his Kenyan citizenship. When he was 21 and didn't drop his U.S. citizenship. Chapter VI, Section 91, Paragraph 1 of the Kenyan Constitution:
"A person who, upon the attainment of the age of twenty-one years, is a citizen of Kenya and also a citizen of some country other than Kenya shall, subject to subsection (7), cease to be a citizen of Kenya upon the specified date unless he has renounced his citizenship of that other country, taken the oath of allegiance and, in the case of a person who was born outside Kenya, made and registered such declaration of his intentions concerning residence as may be prescribed by or under an Act of Parliament."
Quibble all you want, your scenario concerning Obama is just as insane as my scenario concerning Romney.
