Skip to comments.'Occupy' terrorists now called 'Radical Right' by Southern Poverty Law Center

The media has done its best to ignore the Occupy terrorists, but have now confessed. Perhaps drawing inspiration from Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who can lie with an utterly straight face about reality (what she said on tape about the Israeli ambassador, what happened on the floor of the DNC when the words Jerusalem and God were excised and then restored to the platform), the Southern Poverty Law Center has stepped in to solve the problem for the left. Re-define the Occupy movement as "radical right."

Wow, do they really expect that people - anyone- would believe this?
What’s sad is the SPLC started off with good people and good intentions, and then promptly because just another arm of the Democrat Party, crying wolf and making false accusations of racism/bigotry.
They G-dless did this with the ADL and increasing other groups.
Curious: The anarchist group Sovereign Citizens a right or left group? Or if you go far enough either way do they meet in a circle?
Occupy was the leftist version of the Tea Party, which is why Occupy was a media darling (despite the various rapes and rioting).
SPLC = So Pathetic, Lying Communists.
I also sell it as a full sized bumper sticker but you can use that one as you please.
While there I saw many a likeness of that peace loving humanitarian,Che Guevera,but not a single (complementary) likeness of W,let alone Reagan.
If you regard the political continuum (right to left) as a belief in the degree of government control over the individual, the "extreme right" consists of anarchists who believe in absolutely no government/law restricting the individual. Yet, when anarchy looms the resulting chaos frequently sets the conditions for an individual strongman or junta on the far left, who promises to, and may actually restore order, with no constraints whatsoever on his/their power.
So while the two may not exactly meet per se, one frequently presupposes the other. Often times, quite deliberately so.
“Wow, do they really expect that people - anyone- would believe this?”
...of course! The same idiots who voted for “hope and change”.
Assuming a single axis universe is unrealistic.
I thought it was founded by commies.
It started off as a sucker list of gullible people with money who were willing to part with it given the right scary bogeyman and a persuasive direct mail sales pitch.
Still is. But, DHS seems to have taken it to heart.
I would be only too glad to help you post them!
Over time it will become “common knowledge” to the populace regardless of the real facts. Just as Hitler and the Nazis are considered right wing when in fact he was in the party of the National Socialists
How does the Southern Poverty Law Center define radical right? Do they mean the kooks have gone so far left they’ve run around the scale?
Actually, leftist flakes like to think of anarchist as some kind of extreme of conservatism, showing their ignorance of both.
Occuturds tried to recruit conservatives when they began their filth fest, and they didn’t have any luck. We know the mother of Occuturdism is the soviet left, AKA the DNC.
The Nazis were national socialists, while the communists are international socialists. The only real difference is that the Nazis had snapper uniforms. A more accurate political continuum is with the anarchists on the far right and absolute dictatorship on the far left.
Not bad! I'd change the 'S' to 'sleazy', though.
SPLC like the ACLU and the DNC is full of IDIOTS!
I absolutely KNEW that eventually, some Obama surrogate-group
would try to float the idea that idea that the Occupy “folks” were actually a branch, an offshoot, or a mutation of the Tea Party. Of course, I think we all expected the Occupy groups to be more front and center through the summer and into the election period than they have in fact become.They have petered out, and I don’t know if there are any plans for a
“resurgence”. I think they’ve gotten the word, from the White House or their own internal “brains trust” to cool it in the summer and fall, because it would inevitably hurt Obama’s chances. More disruptive activity from OWS this close to the election would give too many voters the idea that it was designed to SERVE and reinforce the Obama message, rather than undermine it. Yet still it can’t hurt, the way they see it, to put forth the idea that they are RADICAL RIGHT rather than anarchistic Radical Leftists.
This is another bit of demagoguery that will go over like a lead balloon, in whatever little way they try to sell it.
Thank you for granting my wish. :grin: You must be psychic.
I sure don't remember their good old days like that, they were started by hard leftists to advance leftist causes, the radical leftist Julian Bond was their first president, he got the job having earned his chops by helping to create another leftist organization of 1960s fame, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC).
SPLC has always been a leftist organization and was founded by leftists, to advance the left.
So the Left wants to get rid of these smelly losers. Guess the bigots at SPLC should tell Pelosi she was praising a Right wing group as her “heroes.”
I thought it was founded by commies.
Remember the "Death to the Klan" rally in Greensboro, NC, promoted for months in advance by the SPLCsupposedly on behalf of black textile workers? I was living in New York at the time. Reading one of the frequent direct-mail pieces I was getting from SPLC on this, I said to myself, "My, what a violent bunch. They must be trying to get some people killed."
And that's exactly what happened. When the day for the glorious rally came, five on the SPLC-Communist side were killed by gunfire. The Communists also were shooting at the handful of counter-demonstrators, but apparently didn't successfully hit anyone. A local commission investigation later found that many in the local black population had been uncomfortable with the idea of this march because of the potential for violence. This was pure race-war agitprop. SPLC, by promoting a confrontation and promising deadly force (hate speech anybody?), is on the record inciting a riot and acting as accessory to murder.
Recall that the year 1979 was during the time of the Soviet Union. Anything named "Communist" or its near relative was taking orders from Moscow, according to the Venona intercepts.
Despite changes in the home country, the SPLC seems to have "kept the faith." May they meet their just reward, which I'm guessing will be different from St. Paul's.
"Over time it will become common knowledge to the populace regardless of the real facts. Just as Hitler and the Nazis are considered right wing when in fact he was in the party of the National Socialists."
That's right. Just because the Nazis had nationalist fervor did not make them right wing. The Japanese were very nationalistic also. Did that make the Japanese government right wing? Nonsense.
Socialist = Left Wing
Communist = Left Wing
Capitalist = Right Wing.
And the propoganda lie that has been very effectively propogated by the left that the Nazis were "right wing facists" still lives on in the minds of many people. Especialy our Jewish friends.
“I sure don’t remember their good old days like that, they were started by hard leftists to advance leftist causes, the radical leftist Julian Bond was their first president, he got the job having earned his chops by helping to create another leftist organization of 1960s fame, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC).”
I stand correct.
I guess I should say: at first SPLC started off by focusing on more-or-less real racists, but now its true face shows.
correct = corrected.
Cant’ even get corrections correct.
Took a bit of time, just as with the ADL.
Now they’re both stinkingly corrupt and antisemites to boot.
It would be hilarious watching fat Michael Moore with a megaphone supporting the radical right.
Snow, Pills, and Landsharks Club.
I don't think their real target was ever racism or antisemitism. It was people -- conservative Southerners who, if you asked them, would tell you they were anti-Communist and anti-socialist.
That's the people in the South and Midwest -- in the "Finkelstein Box" -- that the New Left really went after.
The SPLC put the New Black Panther Party in the “Radical Right” too. Anyone that takes the SPLC seriously (MSNBC) are idiots.
The only reason Hitler came to power was as a delayed reaction to the fact that the Communists had seized power in Munich, Hungary, and Russia and had tried seizing power in Berlin and many other places in the aftermath of World War I. The votes for Hitler (in the runup to 1933) were to a great extent from women who feared the Communist threat and sought security, never dreaming what AH was really like.
