Reporter’s Notebook: A conservative covering an Obama Campaign Rally
Steve Bussey ^ | September 10, 2012 | Steve Bussey

Posted on 09/10/2012 11:46:12 AM PDT by NonValueAdded

My First Observation: President Obama’s overall campaign theme is, "I will take it from them and give it to you" couched in one word – fairness.

My producer, Hairy-Scary Uncle Larry, and I packed up our radio broadcast equipment and trucked off to the Clemente Center on the Florida Tech campus in Melbourne, FL to cover an Obama campaign rally live for AM 1300 WMEL – and what a day it was.

My Second Observation: The first problem covering an Obama campaign rally is that, as my readers and radio show listeners know, I am a red-meat conservative and my job Sunday was to be an objective reporter versus an editorialist. That was tough but all after action reports seem to indicate I pulled it off. I really don't know what in the hell is wrong with the national – mainstream – media guys that they cannot do it.

It was tough interviewing Obama supporters and trying to ask legitimate questions to elicit news worthy information to report on the radio without calling them idiots, morons or sycophants. There were a couple of times I had to hold back laughter while interviewing Obama supporters.

I know Steve Bussey and can confirm his red-meat conservative creds. I heard his radio report right after the speech ended as I was driving home from our FReep of the very same event. It was excellent, unbiased reporting, proving that it can be done.

Please read the whole article, Steve nails it. And it is reason for concern.

“fairness”?

What Obama calls fairness God calls coveting you neighbors’ wealth. Plus envy, jealousy and theft. But then I’m a bit old-fashioned.

Everyone = NVA is right = read the entire column!

My Sixth Observation:

President Obama is a dangerous man. He can tell an audience the sky is red, there really is a man on the Moon, the oceans are purple, up is down, down is up, right is wrong, wrong is right and the people at his campaign event will cheer and scream.

He knows exactly what buttons to push, how to push them and does not hesitate to use “his powers,” truth, law and reason be damned.

Romney needs to cut his hair short, roll up his sleeves and talk like he knows what he’s talking about using facts proof to back up those facts.

But first, the hair needs to go! So he looks like he’s “Ready To Rumble”!

Exactly.

Clint Eastwood gets it too- the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.

I’m worried today.

After listening to some of my favorite conservative hosts speak, argue and try to use any bit of logic with libs who call in to their shows, I am absolutely amazed at the hosts’ professionalism and restraint. If I had to listen to some of these morons, creeps, idiots, moonbats, progressives, liberals, and whatever else these scum are labeled, I would have lost my FCC license in a couple of minutes. Now, a conservative journalist covering an 0Bamma laden event is got to be like Miss Manners going to the ‘hood’ to learn the proper way to do an armed robbery.

Maybe this was hard to hear on the way home while your trying to drive...I don't know but whatever it was, you might have missed this part of his report....

Mitt Romney does not connect with his audience on a personal level at campaign rallies and inspire them to action – at least he didn’t earlier this year at his event in Brevard County during the GOPprimary.

Steve is making a comparison to Obozo's recent Post Convention rally VS a Pre-Ryan Primary appearance....which might explain some of the missing "Right thinking people"

With this in mind I'm still not worried but it won't cause me to stay home sitting on my butt either until election day.

Someone wrote ...

So there are two examples of evil people. The aggressive ones are easy to spot, but the passive aggressive types are much harder to detect because they can appear to be so loving and caring, but this is a mask they wear. A spider is always loving and caring when it is trying to lure the fly into the web.

The fact is that they are so self-absorbed that they become the center of their universe and a god of their world in which they expect us to bow down to them and cater to their every need.

One way of spotting them is to keep your ears open for negative comments they may make. Inside they feel everyone is useless. The ones that deserve them are the ones that serve them.

A snake is always nice to the mouse until the trusting mouse gets too close and then BANG! Two fangs in the neck. Now the snake may show great remorse for what he has done. He may cry and say that he considered the mouse to be his little friend.

But the problem is the snake will do the same thing over and over again. Why? Because he is a snake, and that’s what snakes do.

So sorry, cajunman .. I was doing a ping list from (poor) memory on my previous post here, and forgotcha! ;)

Let’s hope people are not fooled again....the people who work, and pay taxes, that is. It’s hard not to get cynical when so many people fall for the con.
