Just more proof that the GOPe is NOT for social conservatives. They NEVER wanted Akin, even BEFORE if had his gaff. The gaff was just an excuse to turn on him.
IF he wins, and I think it is possible (I am a Missouri resident), then Akin will be the GOPe’s worst possible nightmare....especially IF Romney loses.

Todd Akin is conservative. He can beat Claire. Trying to scramble to find someone else(MO GOP would decide) would be a joke. I don’t want to vote for someone that a bunch of RINO’s pick for me. No thanks!
Missourians, we need people to help Akin who are willing to donate, go door to door, send emails, faxes, snail mails, tweets to people like Huckabee, Palin, Gingrich, and other politicians for donations to save this country. Akins is in for the whole duration and we need to face up to it but we also need to send McCaskill packing. We need that Senate seat. Screw the GOPe. We Missourians can do what is necessary to beat the dem machine that messed with our primary voting process and got him elected. I hear KOMU and others are pulling his ads for lack of payment. If so, we need to kick in and donate that much more. Todd is 1000% better qualified than McCaskill to sit in the Senate. Prayer is very much needed. After watching the DNC vote 3 times to deny God (as Peter did), I have the feeling He is on our side and will bless Akin’s pro-life over McCaskill’s pro-abortion stance. Keep the faith and lets all work together to rid the godless ones from this nation. Jesus is coming again to rid them from this world. Let’s do that as well come November for Missouri.
Everyone focuses on the part of his statement about the likelihood of pregnancy resulting from rape. But, the point he was making is that the baby that results from rape is still a child and doesn't deserve to be murdered. He's absolutely right on that note. And, I think that may be as big an issue with the RNC as his 'gaffe.'
It’s an outrage that you want to throw out a man who was elected by the people of Missouri who obviously still want him in the Senate. He will win the seat and then you really will be pissed off.
I didn't want him either. I met and heard him at Lincoln day event in Jefferson city this past February. He is a crack pot.
If he doesn't get out I will hold my nose and vote for him.

I called the Republican Senatorial Committee this AM and told them to put Akin back on the map. Also, told them Rove must go for the comments he made at the Republican convention. Yeah, good job all, way to go, make your voices heard.
NO, if Akin wins, hooray. But, he is not apt to win as the polls today show. If he wins,great, but the Pubs themselves are not aiding him. It is outrageous from all stages of this race. Some pols overcome stupidity, Akin might but MO. doesn’t look like it will happen. I just want the seat. Get it. The Pubs must win the Senate. If this guy can’t win, then get someone who will.
I spoke with the NSRC and was told the website had been changed to reflect Aiken as the Republican candidate.
I was also told that my irate message that Mr Aiken needed to be supported would be conveyed to Senator Cornan . The concept of not supporting a conservative is a damn terrible way to try to win the Senate. And on and on and on.......

I feel good because I’m guilty of not responding to their dozens of letters and uncounted e mails wanting money but it was actions such as this that convinced me to make my small contributions directly to candidates.

Our citizen's votes and donations to the Honorable Mr. Akin have earned him the right to run for the seat for which he was duly charged to contest by THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE HERE AND DESERVE THE CHANCE TO ELECT
