The owner of a Florida pizza shop says people are boycotting his business because he bear-hugged President Barack Obama on Sunday.
“People are saying a lot of bad things and boycotting my restaurant,” Scott Van Duzer, 46, told POLITICO. “There’s no middle line anymore, and that’s exactly what’s wrong with our country right now.”
The owner of Big Apple Pizza & Pasta Restaurant in Fort Pierce, Fla., said that both Democrats and Republicans are welcome in his store. But he also said he thinks Mitt Romney’s running mate Rep. Paul Ryan — whose sculpted abs are thanks to intense P90X training sessions — would lose to the president in a workout battle.

I would suggest that Scott eat his losses but Michelle 0bama doesn’t approve of the “junk food” he serves.
If he has a loyal group of patrons, he should be fine. But in this economy, I’d be careful about alienating anyone. It’s not like there aren’t a bunch of other pizza places from which to choose.

IMHO people have just made that decision on their own without an organized campaign of vitriol. The left love boycotts so he sees it as an organized attempt to put him out of business. All the folks on the right see is an idiot who they would rather not do business with.

If he's being boycotted, he deserves it. Almost every business I patronize is run by a conservative, or it's corporate and does not take sides. There is no middle line between good and evil. What Obama, Pelosi, and Reid want to do to our country is evil, and I have no interest in compromise. The ObamaCare mandate for birth control and abortion is not merely bad economics and bad public policy like so much of ObamaCare, it is a fundamental violate of basic human rights. Where would the "middle line" be? Let's only violate the rights of certain Americans who object to being forced to pay for murdering innocent unborn children?

The stories yesterday said that the guy is a Republican. And some lady who introduced him in Melbourne, FL, yesterday “is a registered Republican.” It seems to be a theme.
Sooo, no chance it is just a bad economy and folks cannot afford to go out and eat, or that his food is really sub par for the area, could be a bad virus going around etc. I’d say he’s lucky to be in business, small as it is, given these hard times.
