The owner of a Florida pizza shop says people are boycotting his business because he bear-hugged President Barack Obama on Sunday.
“People are saying a lot of bad things and boycotting my restaurant,” Scott Van Duzer, 46, told POLITICO. “There’s no middle line anymore, and that’s exactly what’s wrong with our country right now.”
The owner of Big Apple Pizza & Pasta Restaurant in Fort Pierce, Fla., said that both Democrats and Republicans are welcome in his store. But he also said he thinks Mitt Romney’s running mate Rep. Paul Ryan — whose sculpted abs are thanks to intense P90X training sessions — would lose to the president in a workout battle.

Smart business people are subtle in their political activities. Even those who are quite active will rarely do something overtly political in their place of business. People are free to trade with whomever. If someone makes me angry I will buy from a business man or woman that has not made me angry.
I could buy a pizza from a Democrat donor as long as I don’t have to swallow his politics.
But to have a “Registered Republican” (what does that mean when you admit to voting for Obama in the general election in 2008 and plan to again in 2012) going nationwide in his bromance with Obama and then whining when some people throw up a little, well, it’s a bit hard to swallow.
