Hiring survey stings Obama (Survey: Few companies plan to add workers over next 3 months)

A survey to be released today finds few employers are planning to hire during the fourth quarter, another blow to President Obama, whose re-election may hinge on whether the economy improves before Election Day.

“Between the uncertainty in the global economy and the uncertainty of the election, the survey results are really not surprising,” said Susan Fontana, regional vice president at ManpowerGroup, the global staffing agency that interviewed more than 18,000 employers nationwide for the survey. “In an election year, we see more of a stalling pattern. Then businesses start to move forward with their plans.”

Of the more than 140 employers interviewed in Greater Boston, only 13 percent said they plan to hire more employees in the next three months, while 7 percent expect to reduce staff. That’s a net employment outlook of 6 percent — less than half the 13 percent in the current quarter and lower than the 9 percent fourth-quarter outlook a year ago.

The survey results come four days after the latest national jobs report, which showed only 96,000 new jobs in August, compared to the more than 125,000 economists were expecting. And while the unemployment rate dropped from 8.3 percent to 8.1 percent, it fell because hundreds of thousands of people had given up looking for work.

It doesn’t matter. The BLS will still be able to adjust the unemployment rate down by stopping counting folks as they pass their 99 weeks and also by the statistical fudge factor by adding phantom jobs to the official stats. Regardless of what happens to the economy, this administration will have the “official” unemployment rate down to around 7.5% before election day.

>>A survey to be released today finds few employers are planning to hire during the fourth quarter, another blow to President Obama, whose re-election may hinge on whether the economy improves before Election Day.<<

Mean spirited racist Rethuglican running-dog Romneybot run evil corporations trying to destroy our economy before the election, in a bid to destroy President Barack Obama Christos and his dream of a Progressed America.

Well, it won’t work: we’ll OCCUPY those companies with volunteer workers, and keep making and selling the products they don’t want made and sold; and donate all the profits to President Obama Christos’ reelection campaign!
