In a pair of attacks more than 650 miles apart, Islamists stormed and seized two US embassies. In Cairo, Egypt, Islamists scaled the wall, tore down and desecrated the American flag, and hoisted their own Islamic flag which reads: “There is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his messenger.”
In Benghazi, Libya, Islamists stormed the US consolae and nearly burned it to the ground. One American has reportedly been killed.
While Egypt has long enjoyed friendly relations with the United States, Libya and the US have been enemies since that country sponsored terrorist attacks on the West in the 1980s. Relations had thawed recently after the US helped oust strongman Muammar Gaddafi from power.
The US response to both attacks may go down as the weakest response to any international crisis in living memory.

In the Middle East on September 11, 2012, the political winds shifted heavily against the United States. And Barack Obama did not say a thing.
Update: According to the US embassy in Cairo, Islam is a wonderful religion.

Time to pull our embassy staff people OUT from every embassy in the world ~ if Obama and his running dog lackeys won’t back those folks up we should not have anybody there needlessly running risks they won’t.
We were told by liberals that America was not respected in the world because of the shoot from the hip diplomacy of George W. Bush. We were told that we were disliked because we started pre-emptive wars because of George W. Bush.
All of that was supposed to change with the election Obama. Now the world would love us. Especially the Arab/Muslim world would now respect and honor America.
Obama went to Cairo as part of outreach to the Muslim world.
I have to wonder — do these incidents today make it appear that America is more respected and honored in the world? Does it appear that there is greater respect for America in the middle east? In the Arab/Muslim world in general?
Do these protesters know that the great Barack H. Obama is president now? And not Bush? They were supposed to love America because of Obama. How can they still have resentment towards America???????

Libya WAS our enemy, but relations with Kaddafi improved, especially after he turned away from his fellow Arabs and opened relations with black Africa. So, we went in and installed the Muslim Brotherhood in his place. That is NOT an improvement. It was completely contrary to our national interest.
And this attack on the sovereign territory of our embassy today stems from that—I won’t call it a stupid error, because I think Obama and Hillary knew exactly what they were doing. They were helping their Muslim terrorist pals.
We didnt lose it..Obama and Hillary gave it away.
Well, America has no influence in the white house, while a foreign imposter occupies it, and acts as president with the actions of a muslim alinskiest.
Egypt is becoming like Iran.... Carter gave us Iran as a thorn in our side and Obama will be known for giving Egypt as another thorn to us as well.
They tore down our flag and WE apologized to THEM for a movie. Thanks HIllary, thanks Obama. I say not another dime to them. I am sick and tired of paying taxes to shore up that miserable place.
