South Carolina is a conservative red state. Graham got reelected one time because the darn Republican party did not get a name recognizable candidate in the race to oppose him. It may happen again in 2014. Darn the Republicrats! People here care much more about football than politics!

*As in the Northeast where Dems have to run as Republicans because their party is full up, so do Republicans run as Dems here. The Dem running against Graham was a Conservative.

That’s not going to happen in 2014. Graham will have two VERY credible potential opponents in the 2014 primary—Tim Scott and Nikki Haley. Scott and Haley should decide ahead of time who will be his primary challenger; I’m getting damn tired of this “split the conservative vote” routine. Conservatives need to get their act together. If the conservatives don’t “splinter” the base, Graham will be history no matter how big a conservative “act” the phoney puts on between now and 2014.
His stand on illegal immigration was also a winner with libs.
To be fair, I can’t blame anyone for dropping a lot of f-bombs talking to Joe Biden. I’d probably break the double digit mark in under 30 seconds.

(As to your question, I have no idea how Graham keeps winning his elections. I vote against him every chance I get.)
It's not just that we are Conservative in SC but Graham is really a pit bull when it came to the unions and labor board lawsuit against Boeing and other past issues. I like him when he gets mad for he right reasons, I like hearing him tear into the opposition. He is popular with the military and retired vets in the state.
He will piss us off by acting like a pansy moderate but then he comes home and fights the dirty fights.
You are so right about the Republicans not running anyone against him. Maybe Alvin Greene can beat him. We all know who he is in SC.
