Embassy personnel hang their asses out over the line and they look to the Flag as their protection and salvation in hostile surroundings. Can you imagine their horror at reading that we are sending apologies to the savage mob as our embassy burns and our flag is trampled underfoot?

Died from “Smoke inhalation” huh! Do Islamists and Obama lie?

Probably frantically sewing the ambassadors head back on before the American press gets there.

So 4 died ???

The fact that it was the ambassador himself is big...

Neither Obama not Willard have denounced the Islamic terrorists...

Obama apologized and Wilard used this poor guy’s death as an excuse to get political against Obama...

We are in a heap of trouble with our lack of national security and no leadership...now or next year...

U.S. ambassador to Libya killed in attack: Libya official "The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other embassy staff were killed in a rocket attack on Tuesday night that targeted his car in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, a Libyan official said on Wednesday.

"The American ambassador and three staff members were killed when gunmen fired rockets at them," the official in Benghazi told Reuters. Asked about the deaths, a U.S. Embassy employee in Tripoli said: "We have no information regarding this." The employee said the embassy could confirm the death of one person.

The Libyan official said the U.S. ambassador had been on his way to a safer venue after protesters attacked the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi and opened fire, killing a staff member, in protest at a U.S. film that they deemed blasphemous to the Prophet Mohammad."....................

“Isn’t that considered an act of war?”

"It used to be ..."

Only if the POTUS isn't a Muslim sympathizer...

Which means now its just considered the boys in the embassy neighborhood were blowing off a little steam. Nothing to see here, move along, and if you have the time for this then you have time to volunteer to help with the campaign to get Barry re-elected!

“The official said the ambassador and three other staff were killed when gunmen fired rockets at his car. He said the U.S. Embassy had sent a military plane to transport the bodies to Tripoli to fly them to the United States.”

But far too many of the voting idiots of American citizenry think he deserves yet another four years. God spare us!

There is a huge difference in language when politicians speak to the American people compared to when they speak to the world.

What came from this administration was an absolute tragic farce on the world stage when the Egypt embassy took responsibility by apologizing for a film our government did not produce and then undercutting free speech on the world stage. Compare that to Romney's statement condemning the attacks in a statement that was carefully worded and you a world of difference.

At this point, without waiting to see how this day plays out, your remarks are so far off base it reflects badly on you.

I still think that BlueLancer had it right when he created the following post, which I reproduce for him here since he is now rather inactive:

--------------------------

200 years from now, I want their children's children's children
to cower and cringe in fear whenever they hear the sounds of jet engines overhead
because their legends tell of fire from the sky.

I want them to hide in dark caves and holes in the earth,
shivering with terror whenever they hear the roar of diesel engines
because the tales of their ancestors talk about metal monsters
crawling over the earth, spitting death and destruction.

I want their mothers to be able to admonish them with
"If you don't behave, the Pale Destroyers will come for you",
and that will be enough to reduce them to quivering obedience.

I want the annihilation to be so complete that their mythology
will tell them of the day of judgment when the stern gods from across the sea
.. the powerful 'Mericans .. destroyed their forefathers' wickedness.

(Original created by BlueLancer ... 13 September 2001)

Posting false accusations again, I see. Romney was already responding before the attacks escalated into more deaths.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/wp/2012/09/12/romney-calls-obama-response-to-libya-attacks-disgraceful/

“I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi,” Romney said. “It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

Concern about his campaign will be his primary, if not only, concern. That and blaming the filmmaker and, of course, apologizing.

We need to pull our people out and put a radioactive crater in Benghazi. That is a lesson that will stick with bastards and all of the ME.

We also need to hang this around Obama’s neck. He’s the one who, against the will of Congress, attacked Libya in support of the savages.

http://www.quilliamfoundation.org/press-....

The military assault against the US Consulate in Benghazi should not be seen as part of a protest against a low budget film which was insulting Islam – there were just a few peaceful protesters present at the event. Indeed, there have been no other demonstrations regarding this film in Libya.

We at Quilliam believe the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi was a well planned terrorist attack that would have occurred regardless of the demonstration, to serve another purpose. According to information obtained by Quilliam – from foreign sources and from within Benghazi – we have reason to believe that the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi came to avenge the death of Abu Yaya al-Libi, al-Qaeda’s second in command killed a few months ago.

The reasons for this are as follows:

24 hours before this attack, none other than the leader of al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, released a video on Jihadist forums to mark the anniversary of 9/11. In this video, Zawahiri acknowledged the death of his second in command Abu Yahya and urged Libyans to avenge his killing.

According to our sources, the attack was the work of roughly 20 militants, prepared for a military assault – it is rare that an RPG7 is present at a peaceful protest.

According to our sources, the attack against the Consulate had two waves. The first attack led to US officials being evacuated from the consulate by Libyan security forces, only for the second wave to be launched against US officials after they were kept in a secure location.

The weak security environment in Libya including in Benghazi and the failure of the government to project its power outside of the capital have been used as a cover for the attack

I was referring to the US State Department personnel. Of course, when you add it all up, a lot of host country people work in an embassy. But they are not feeling quite as isolated and vulnerable, because they can walk out the gate and go home.
