Mike Barnicle has suggested that the Department of Justice consider prosecuting Florida pastor Terry Jones in the death of the American ambassador to Egypt and deaths occurring during riots last year in Afghanistan. Hat tip readers Melody, Jonathan R., Ray R.
Barnicle made his suggestion on today's Morning Joe, during a discussion of the attacks on the American embassy in Egypt and the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, where the American ambassador died after an attack by an Libyan mob. Fellow panelist Donny Deutsch responded by saying he was "thinking the same thing" as Barnicle.

I disagree with what you say . . . and will prosecute you for saying it.
One, Terry Jones has nothing to do with this film. Two, prosecute him for what? Three, has Barnicle ever heard of the First Amendment? It’s frightening that such stupid people are given speaking roles in the mass media.
Can we prosecute Hollywood if Christians start rioting in this country?
Then lock up artist Mapplethorpe who created “Piss Christ” or the artist who ‘created’ the Madonna made with elephant dung.
Wow. Interesting to watch them scramble to cover for the killers/terrorists unleashed by Arab Spring, while at the same time pushing this mess as far from Obama as they can.
Anyone with a brain knows this line about muslim offense over a film is bullsh*t.
He has it ass backwards. Obama is the CIC. He knew these attacks were going to happen. He sat on his ass and did nothing.
Blame their murder on Obama. He is complicit.
So much for solemn commemorations of the worst attack on America by these same Islamic radicals.
What is this, chaos theory in action? Does Barnicle advocate the butterfly wing effect of determining the validity of free speech? If someone says something, several years past, and a crowd riots years later, do you then decide to assign a cause and effect relationship and prosecute?
What an ass!
Please, someone tell me he was joking.
We already see these limits imposed in the UK & Europe where you can get jailed for "improper" speech.
Mapplethorpe was not involved with the hateful work you referenced. It was created by fraud artist Andres Serrano.
Here is the 12-minute video trailer that is driving the muslim world and our own libtards (more) insane.
Another liberal surrender monkey puts on his asshat and confirms his full transistion from sanity to the dark side.
Mapplethorpe did not create Piss C****. That was someone else. Mapplethorpe was a fashion photographer who produced some gay porn photographs that started a bruhaha.
The entire Morning Joe cast was more concerned with the nasty person who created the “hate” video than the awful death of fellow Americans.
Can we prosecute Barnicle the plagiarist for being stupid?
These people are insane. This is the last straw with the media. Time to take names of sponsors of every mainstream media outlet and make an all-hands, all-out effort to drive them out of business.
Piss Christ was created by some non entity named Juan Serrano, I think it was. I forget the creator of the elephant dung piece. Another artistic genius on the level of Picasso and Monet, though, no doubt.
They should prosecute Michaelangelo, then, too. Didn’t he paint Mo heading to Hell in the Sistine Chapel?
Let’s see - exposing evil (Jones) or DOING evil (ragheads) or ignoring evil (Obama) - which should be prosecuted? Oh, yes, of course - the Christians.
