US ambassador killed in 'co-ordinated al Qaeda revenge attack by terrorists snipped
UK Daily Mail ^ | 12 September 2012 | Jill Reilly and Lydia Warren

A bloody attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya that left American ambassador Christopher Stevens, two marines and a communications officer dead was a planned ambush by terrorists using a pro-Islam protest as cover, it has been claimed.

The victims died during a rocket attack when an armed mob set fire to the consulate in Benghazi after joining a protest over a 'blasphemous' film about the Prophet Mohammed.

It is believed a 'small, vicious group' of attackers used the protest as a diversion, although questions remain over whether the killers drummed up support for the march or simply took advantage of it, an official told CNN.

While it is not known exactly who was responsible for the ambush, a London think tank with strong ties to Libya said Stevens, who is not believed to have been targeted, could have been the victim of a revenge attack by al Qaeda.

Limbaugh made a great point about the DNC convention -- just one long brag about killing Osama.
Will the aged 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats and their bratty ideological issue dominating the MSM mention that Osama connection . . . .

No, because they are ALL co-conspirators on this "spontaneous" ME "irruption".

The State Department took several corrective actions and subsequently selected a new contractor to take over the Afghan’s embassy’s security. But that selection quickly created new controversy when the Senate Armed Services Committee issued a report finding that the contractor had relied on warlords with possible ties to the Taliban to staff its security forces. The inspector general recently concluded that the State Department’s vetting of the contractor met federal regulations but somehow failed to uncovered the information found by Senate investigators. “The Department was not aware of the selected contractor’s past performance, as reported by the Senate Armed Services Committee, until after the report was publicly released in October 2010, which was after the contract and the task order had been awarded. OIG also determined that the Department had used the proper systems to obtain,” the IG reported.

************

The Obama/Clinton State Dept vetted and approved a security contractor who was known to possibly reaching out to Taliban warlords to staff the security positions,,,

A furious mob fired gunshots and then set the building alight as they clashed with Libyans hired to guard the facility. Outnumbered by the crowd, Libyan security forces did little to stop them, al-Sharef said.

Why Americans should NEVER depend on local "security".

1) They have no love for America. They will not risk their lives to protect Americans.

2) Their families LIVE in the area, and so they are subject to extortion.

3( They know that, when the Americans leave, they will still have to live there, among the people who hate Americans.

Romney should wear it as a badge of honor that the Obama campaign the the press freaked out as they did. They heard
that and thought “day 398 of the Iran Hostage Crisis” and
their blood ran cold.

Obama is paying the fox to guard the hen house .

Obama and PIAPS (pig in a pants suit) expected Libyan security to fire on a crowd composed of their neighbors and relatives, and who know where the security guys families live?

There are photos on the above. Everyone should click and see them. And read the whole article. This wasn’t a spontaneous liitle old protest, it was an act of war.

God bless those who were killed. The embassador died trying to help others evacuate, and two Marines were killed as well.

Or maybe this freaking demons killed him directly. Supposedly some doctor tried to revive him from smoke inhalation but these photos tell a different story.

From the article, looks as though the Arab television was lying:

Graphic images taken at the scene show civilians making desperate attempts to pull the diplomat to safety. But their efforts were futile.

Arab television station Al Jazeera today reported that Ambassador Stevens died of smoke inhalation, while the doctor who treated him said he died of severe asphyxiation, which caused stomach bleeding. He said Stevens had no other injuries.

The doctor, Ziad Abu Zeid, said Stevens was brought to the Benghazi Medical Center by Libyans on Tuesday night with no other Americans and that initially no one realized he was the ambassador. He tried for 90 minutes to revive him.

Were they trying to take Stevens hostage? Is Obama glad Stevens is dead instead of a hostage?

It is useful to recall that embassies are run by the State Department, a nest of "world citizens" notorious for their blindness to reality. Aside from the two Marines, a true loss, the other two probably were among the ones who hired the filth to "protect" them. It runs close to poetic justice that their dull-witted credulity may well have hastened their deaths.

I think it’s time for all of our nonmilitary folks to come home, send all of the Egyptian and Libyan folks packing from the US, seize their oil and banking assets, cut off their US funds, tell Israel to do what it wants with Iran, and be ready to stand in response to China, Russia and others who jump on the fight pile.

We all know it’s gonna happen anyway, right? Isn’t that what all this diplomatic dancing has been about for the last 20 years or so? We’re trying to waltz around a big elephant in the room knowing that eventually the music is gonna stop and we have to deal with it anyway. Well, the music is over, and now it’s time to deal with the ideology clash that we have put off for too long. It’s a survival test, not just a school yard scuffle.

The ideology of a muslim state with sharia law and the philosophy of their prophet is NOT compatible with American freedoms in any way, shape or form. They want us dead, they want the jews dead, they want the white europeans dead, they want anyone who is NOT muslim dead. Their idea of “assimilation” is annihilation. When are we gonna get that thru our thick American heads?

Things haven’t changed too much since Jefferson was president when he sent in the Marines to Tripoli, so let us resolve to confront evil and call it evil, to stand up to them and not back down, to fight for our sovereign nation and its citizens. Does our flag, do our dead citizens mean nothing to us????

We don’t know about this man and the other or others who died, apart from Marines. I don’t want to condemn him. And I don’t know who in particular was responsible for the Libyan “security”.

The buck stops with Hitlery and DBA 0*uckhead.

Roughly, reports are hazy, this is how it went down:

Unarmed “protesters” using the cover of the Cairo embassy protest went to the lightly protected consulate office in Benghazi. They gathered a crowd but made no incursion, just chanting.

Militants from the Shaykh Omar Abdulrahman Brigades, an AQ affiliate responsible for a number of bombings and shootings in Libya staged the initially peaceful protest as a cover for the planned assassination of Ambassador Stevens.

Ambassador Stevens with two Marine guards and a visiting USAF communication specialist decided to drive to the consulate to either manage the situation or help evacuate to a nearby safe house. The consulate security was composed of Libyan nationals whom were advised of the travel of Stevens.

It appears that a Libyan security guard was in league with the Shaykh Omar Abdulrahman Brigades and advised them on the ambush timing.

As the ambassador’s vehicle neared the consulate it was hit with an RPG and disabled. Steven’s and the other three then engaged a running gunfight until they could get to the consulate.

The consulate was then attacked with RPG’s and small arms until they evacuated to a safe house nearby. The Marine guards likely died as a rear guard.

The double agent Libyan security guard likely tipped off the militants as to the safe house location that was then attacked and set on fire. The occupants were trapped and suffered smoke inhalation, the cause of death of Ambassador Stevens.

The militants withdrew and the remaining occupants of the safe house exfiltrated as they were able. Friendly Libyans found Stevens and carried him to the hospital where he was declared dead.

The attack was in retaliation for the killing of AQ#2 Abu Yahya al-Libi in June. This attack was likely planned and led by Abdulbasit Azuz, a long-time associate of Ayman al-Zawahiri. Azuz is old school AQ muj, fought the Russians in Afghanistan.

Azuz was sent by Zawahiri to Libya from Pakistan in early 2011 to start a branch of AQ. They have a training camp near Derna, Libya with about 30 militants. They are connected to the AQ in the Islamic Maghreb that are well established to the west and likely participated in the raid also.

“We”? You mean that’s standard policy at consulates and embassies all over world? US military doesn’t give protection? The US always hires local thugs and fools?

The State Dept pukes don't like using Marines. Healthy, horny young men in a country where alcohol and fooling around with the local women are forbidden pastimes, will find ways to get into trouble and embarrass the suits.

Then again, when the jihadis are coming over the walls, the "local security" disappears down an alley, and all you have for security are any armed Americans.

For the suits in DC, having armed Marines presents an additional problem: they are more likely to open fire rather than allow themselves to be meekly slaughtered.
