I'm not in DC, but here's an idea that I had that I wanted to throw out. Coptic Egyptians have been killed in huge numbers by Muslim terrorists over the last few years, and it's been getting worse. They're getting killed by their own countrymen--yet the outrage is over a YouTube video?? Are you kidding me?
Obama is clearly going to do nothing. We all know what his foreign policy is.
If I was in DC, which I am not or otherwise I'd be doing this already, I'd be demonstrating--peacefully of course--against violence towards Coptic Egyptians in front of their embassy in the US, and show that the American people do NOT support the Muslim Brotherhood. I also think it's important in a time like this to show our solidarity with our foreign service officers and the Marines who guard them.
Just my idea. I'm not in DC or in a city with an Egyptian consulate, but if there's an active Tea Party group in that area, food for thought. If Egyptian whackos want to try to burn down an embassy over a YouTube video, we sure as hell can protest the murder of Christians by a radical Islamic government.

Today’s Egypt? Obama BUILT that!
I don’t have the money for bail.
What a wonderful idea. Thank you ksm1. I think I’ll go to the NYC Embassy over the weekend.
:)
I don’t get it. Why not protest in front of the White House?
Hold up signs “NO more money to Egypt”
Obama’s the guy that replaced the Egyptian government
Better cover your faces.
I am VERY concerned about tomorrow, with this Feast coinciding with the Muzzies Friday Prayers. They have studied the Christian liturgies and know very well that an attack on a day when millions are singing:
Save thy people, O Lord, and bless thy inheritance.
Give thy Church victory over her enemies
and protect thy people by thy Holy Cross
...could be spritually devastating.
Im Lutheran but I am planning to be with my local Greek Orthodox community tomorrow morning.
Sorry, but what you ask is illegal. You don’t have the right to do that.
Enjoy your prison stay.
/partial sarcasm... :(
Bad idea
Also Rosh Hashanah starts Sunday.
Justice Department already going after the filmmaker...
That was so Amy would be free of arrest for going down and doing a Farleftwingtard hissy screech at the South African embassy.
I wouldn’t advise it. They’d shoot you dead and claim diplomatic immunity like the Lybians did in London.
The Russians, Serbs, Georgians, Jerusalem-Patriarchate, and some OCA folk, will be celebrating the Indiction (Ecclesiastical New Year) tomorrow, singing
Lord of the universe who by Thy power hast established the times and seasons,
bless this year with Thy goodness,
preserve our Rulers and keep Thy flock in peace,
through the prayers of the Mother of God, and save us.
instead of the Troparion of the Cross.
I already sang the Troparion of the Cross three times at Vespers -- the only service our little chapel is managing for the Exaltation of the Cross.
And yes, unlike the Troparion of the Cross, which had "Thy Church" or "Thy people" substituted for "Our believing kings" when then Empire fell, the Troparion for the Indiction hasn't been democratized, and we still pray for "our Rulers" when we sing it.
I live in NYC. There’s an Egyptian Embassy and the United Nations. I picket at the UN about their Global Abortion and Euthanasia Agenda. This time I’ll be at the Egyptian Embassy, if I can get near it - if not the UN, I’ll have a sign protesting the murder of Coptic Christians. It’ll all be fortified now the barn doors open as that’s the emptychair way.
