According to the White House calendar, there is no public record of President Barack Obama attending his daily intelligence briefing–known as the Presidential Daily Brief (PDB)–in the week leading up to the attacks on the U.S. embassy in Cairo and the murder of U.S. Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens and three American members of his staff...

This is criminal. If this were Bush the democrats would be calling for an impeachment. I doubt this man will ever step down. If he loses to Romney he will refuse to concede and make a speech saying his work is not yet done and he needs more time.

Why would Obama step down? He's in a lot of trouble with the forged documents and all the other things he has done in the ducty stack of crimes piled up on Boehner's desk. Besides, Obama knows John Boehner would do nothing if he just simply refuses to hand over power to Mitt Romney.

That is very telling! We are nowhere near as safe now as we were under George W Bush. In fact, I think we’re more vulnerable now than we were on September 10th 2001. Much more so.

He knew about the planned attacks and miscalculated that the world would believe that this was all about some dumb movie.

He was right about our main stream media, but the rest of the world isn’t buying the story.

Yes. I don’t know why they (Bumber and Hilda) would do nothing though. Are they on suicude watch or what? The only thing I can figure is that they want to have the ME in chaos for the election. Americans getting killed will not raise poll numbers.

...”leading from behind”...the phrase the rats look up to....
translated: “if I ain’t making decisions,...you can’t blame me”, another rat coward, Carter,Clinton,Odungo. Meanwhile people die, incompetence gutless arrogance. His main concern, raising money for himself, spending money for himself, and wasting billions.
It’s Friday, watch for the late afternoon document dump and the spin on this story.

I think that is likely. I see two scenarios.

1) He had been informed exactly what would happen. He prepared for that day by simply "taking his eye off the ball" so that he could be "surprised" when the event went off as planned.

2) He knew that something, somewhere was likely to happen on any given 9/11. He prepared for that possibility by simply "taking his eye off the ball" so that he could avoid some blame if something happened.

I believe that a world in flames helps his re-election chances. I believe that he believes that too.

My fear as well. Watch the polls over the next few days, particularly the Rasmussen poll.

And worse he skipped them during the most vulnerable time of the year - the week of the September 11th anniversary.

It seems to me that the "Theme" of the Obama foreign policy -- if it can be called that -- is that we are winding down the "War on Terror." Hasty withdraws from Iraq, and now Afghanistan, leaving the fruits of battlefield victories for others to gather. Relaxation of (some) TSA rules (while others are quietly expanded). And finally the dismantling of the anti-terror financial apparatus that was briefly effective at getting at the roots of the terror network.

Combine this with the Muslim 'outreach' template and what do you expect? If there's no WoT why do we need a Commander-in-Chief sitting in the cockpit every morning?

All of this is wrong, of course. The War on Terror was ill-conceived from the start. And Obama's policies are partly a reflection of the electorates discomfort with them. What should have been done after 9-11 was a straight-forward declaration of war against Al-Qaeda & Afghanistan. All military means would have theoretically been available to GWB for the duration. Perhaps this is why we no longer declare war in this country. Congress likes to write "Blank Checks" -- just not this kind.

Anyone remember how the press used to portray George W. Bush as disengaged and lacking intellectual curiosity, more interested in exercising?
