Israel Could Send Iran ‘Back To The Stone Age’ with Electromagnetic Bomb

Israel could destroy Iran’s electric network with a specially designed electromagnetic bomb in the event of a military conflict between the countries, The Sunday Times reported on Sunday.

An electromagnetic bomb of this sort would be detonated above the ground, creating an electromagnetic pulse that would “disrupt all the technological devices working on the ground,” an American expert was quoted as saying to the London paper.

The use of the new technology by Israel was brought up in discussions regarding a possible attack on Tehran’s nuclear facilities, the report claimed. Such a move would send Iran “back to the stone age,” the British paper said.

This kind of bomb would operate based on the nonlethal technology of gamma rays, the report explained. The outburst of energy would “fry” electric devices and currents around the source of the explosion.

If Iranians get the bomb - they’ll nuke Israel. We know that because they’ve told us they want Israel destroyed. Would you feel differently if you knew Iran was also nuke us? My guess is they will... People in that part of the world don’t think like we do because their incentives are the opposite of ours.

Altitude is the key to how far the effects range. Pop a big one off in space and yes, it will travel really far but set one off a few miles high and it won’t go nearly as far.

Iran was also nuke us?

Don't worry. Hussein 0bama will apologize for us existing and "offending" them.

To the Stone Age? In other words, Iran’s living conditions and infratructure would improve.

Out of all the countries in the mid-east, Iran is by far the most European in nature.

There were quite a number of Iranians in college back under the Shah, and they were very, very interested in Western culture and values.

“affected”, not destroyed. If every single piece of electronics in hawaii had been destroyed, we would all have been talking about it from that day until today.

An excellent read, and anyone who scoffs at this threat just failed his IQ test.

And when the Shah was over thrown, that ended.

If you really think that after all the research and analysis that’s been done, you are the first to have thought to consider the limited Faraday shielding that might be provided by a metal building or car, you’re uninformed. Yes things can be protected by proper shielding, but the items you mention have been tested extensively.

And we have seen the exact same pattern emerge in all mideastern countries where a long-standing regime in power loses their grips, the Muslim fundamentalists take over, and send them back in time 400 years...

We saw it in Lebanon, we’re watching it in Libya and Egypt, it’s only a matter of time before the House of Saud falls.

This look like the stone age to you?

We need to get over the notion that these countries are really to stupid to build bombs. They have hundred of billions of dollars that we foolishly give them for oil that we don't need to buy from them.

I wonder. If American and European Christians united and decided to have a crusades, who would step up and fund it?

Personally, I think the only thing that would work is to quarantine Islam.

When they have no one else to kill, they always turn to killing each other. We’ve seen war in the mideast many times between Arab/Muslim countries.

And if/when they finally get a bellyfull of killing, they might decide to try yo join the rest of the world.

I know, I know, politically and economically it’s an impossibility, but it goes to show you what kind of a tribal mindset they are in.

It’s like 12th Century Road Warrior.
Except they all got beards!

One over each capital of the Middle Eastern nations proven hostile to Israel followed by an air drop of leaflets in Arabic, “You will soon be supplied with camels and tents. You have been reset to the 6th century. Try to do better this time around. See you in a thousand years or so.”

If you really think one silly nuke is going to destroy every printed circuit on the planet(or sizable portion of it) you are reading too much science fiction or watching too much nickelodeon.
