Israel media - Channel 2 - just reported that the US-commanded Multi-National Force Observors headquarters in the Sinai is under assault. Salafists laid seige to the building this afternoon and some 50 armed men stormed it. There is fighting going on in the building and there are dead inside. The MFO is the force that was established under the Israel-Egypt peace treaty. It is charged with guaranteeing the demilitarization of the Sinai.
The MFO has two bases. I believe that the one under attack is in northern Sinai, built on an old Israeli Air Force base.
The MFO has come under attack several times since the outset of the US-supported Islamic revolution there. The US approved and forced Israel to accept the deployment of Egyptian tanks in the Sinai some weeks ago as part of a much touted counterterror offensive of the Egyptian military. Its results were inconclusive but at Israel's insistence, the tanks were removed a couple weeks ago. Egyptian President Morsi supports the remilitarization of the Sinai. It is hard not to see the strategic implications of this attack on the MFO.

This appears, more and more, as an organized and concerted effort by radical Muslims to create a military situation in order to re-elect BHO2. They aren’t stupid and know that Americans do not change Presidents during wartime. But would the Muslim Brotherhood think this up on their own?
Or, were they advised by someone in the White House to do this.

From what little I know about the predictions from the Bible regarding the rise of THE Anti Christ , a strong case case could be made no world leader in modern history has done more to set the stage and produce the necessary environment and set of world conditions for his rise to power.

I see your point, the Muslims are rallying behind another Muslim and creating a war may be an excuse to either not hold the election or not change course. If this unqualified hack leads the Middle East into war, it’s more of a reason to get rid of him, before he ends of getting all of us killed.

I believe this could easily be an Axelrod September/October Surprise. It seems like a long shot to me but, as they say, desperate times call for desperate measures. Maybe those internal polls that the Obama Team is looking at has created that sense of desperation.
Will the American people rally around the Obama flag?

Very true. Pull our people out and let them have at it. It was when we stepped in to try and stop their ages old tribal wars we stepped into the fresh stinking pile of doggie apples to start with. While the islamic nations were killing each other it satisfied their thirst for blood. At the same time Israel has been more than capable of stopping threats in it's own interest which usually was also in our interest they act. A Win/Win for us.
The only thing worth protecting there is Israel and the Suez Canal. We have plenty of oil and gas here. If Europe wants middle eastern oil let them deal with the sand monkeys.
