A new White House report issued Friday warns that $110 billion in across-the-board spending cuts at the start of the new year would be "deeply destructive" to the military and core government responsibilities like patrolling U.S. borders and air traffic control.
...The across-the-board cuts were devised as part of last summer's budget and debt deal between President Barack Obama and Capitol Hill Republicans.
...The report warns that the Pentagon faces cuts that "would result in a reduction in readiness of many nondeployed units, delays in investments in new equipment and facilities, cutbacks in equipment repairs, declines in military research and development efforts and reductions in base services for military families."

IMHO..aside from the Pentagon, there’s a whole mess of other agencies they can’t destroy fast enough. Perhaps they can weaken the Pentagon enough we have no other alternative than to leave the mideast-not altogether a bad prospect perhaps.
Now he cares. Last week he didn’t—Dems were happily talking about going over the cliff.
Now that the embassy debacles have occurred, he’s putting on a show at Andrews Air Force Base, and he’s worried about the Defense budget.
Not one penny is cut from any welfare program. Why shouldn’t everyone on the dole take a 10% pay cut? If you get $300 for foodstamps you won’t starve to death on $270.
IMPRESSIVE, not only do the COMMUNIST BASTARDS down grade our defense, BUT ALSO TRASH THE ECONOMY IN ONE SWAT!

Becaust they and their lapdog media are going to pin this on the GOP. Only they’ve got to wait until this little Mideast thing blows over, even their lapdog can’t keep a lid onit now.
It may not be popular here but I have no doubt that all of the government can be cut 10% without any major impact. The problem is the bureaucrats can’t/won’t make the tough calls that private business have to make. Maybe it is time we put a businessman in the White House to make the tough calls.
I agree. Plus don’t ever forget, which apparently most people have, that the $7 billion stimulous is built into all these numbers now.
