I spoke with a well-placed journalist last night whose sources describe the situation at the State Department in one word: “Chaos.”
The working assumption is that several American embassies may have been penetrated, or are vulnerable to attack, because so many of them rely on local residents for staff needs at the embassy, and as such may be in a position to breach security if they have been recruited by Al Qaida.
...The consulate in Benghazi was an interim facility, with only a standard door lock for security, and worse, Ambassador Stevens was traveling with only a light security detail, rather than in the heavily armed convoys our diplomats in the region usually employ. The attack on the Benghazi was no mere target of opportunity spurred by reaction to the “Innocence of Muslims” film; the film is just a pretext.
The killing of Amb. Stevens was a premeditated hit, planned and carried out as retaliation for the recent drone strike that killed the number two Al Qaida operative in Afghanistan recently. The vulnerability of Stevens at the Benghazi compound was scouted out carefully.

And if they are worried that “several American embassies may have been penetrated” why aren’t they worried that Hillary’s top aide has immediate family members in the Muslim Brotherhood?
If that isn’t penetration at the highest level, I don’t know what is.

Could you source that pls? I’ve followed this pretty closely and the only info on indirect fire (mortars) I’ve read appeared to come from an interview w/a Libyan militia “captain” who claimed to be part of the rescue attempt. Everything I have read seemed to indicate Sean Smith died at the consulate w/o ever having reached the “safe house” location.
At any rate, if you have the source or a link I would appreciate it as I would like to read that account ...there are so many conflicting stories it is hard to get any kind of grasp on the actual situation at this point.

Some of the hate radio hosts began to fan the flames with crazy rumors that really weren’t so crazy, not to us. When they were taken off the air through a variety of means (but mainly for violating the “fomenting domestic terrorism” laws), the right wing nut jobs went absolutely mad with fury. The accusations about a secret purge continued. The plan was being laid out for all to see, even while it was being officially denied at every level, and was never reported on at all by our cooperating media networks and other friendly outlets.
And then the shooting started.
At a month and a half or so, it sometimes seemed that the plan was in danger of falling apart. I asked Dennis about it in private, but he appeared unworried. “It’s all part of the action-reaction calculus. It was all taken into account. We needed them to react. We’re in the second phase. We smoked them out into the open with phase one, and now we can go get them. Why do you think we bought billions of bullets for the DHS? Why do you think we paid for SWAT teams and armored cars in every Podunk town in America? We’ve been getting ready for this moment for years.”

What Fast and Furious is to the Second Amendment, this operation is to the First Amendment.
F&F was designed and carried out by the 0bama administration as a pretext to restrict gun rights. It blew up in their faces and anyone who is paying attention knows exactly what they were up to.
This operation is not so clear cut. At least not yet. It’s too early to tell if this was :
1. the result of complete stupidity on the part of everyone in the State Department
2. the result of “leaving the door open” and hoping for someone to take advantage of it and cause a crisis
3. a false flag operation, designed by the 0bama administration to create exactly the type of crisis it did
Both 2&3 would give Zippy and his handlers an excuse to clamp down on the internet, create upheaval just before the election, and create an opening for many additional totalitarian acts on the party of Zippy.
Watch for who gets detained, held, questioned. Watch for pointing fingers and misdirection.
The people at the state dept. are not just sacrificial lambs. They are just used as sitting ducks. Liberals just use people.
WH keeps blaming that stupid film. IMO, it’s that constant Biden message: “Osama is dead GM is alive” that’s making the Muzzies crazy.

You're right. Hillary as Sec. of State was and still is utterly absurd. There is nothing to recommend Hillary for any such position of power in the U.S. Government. The only thing she accomplished in life was marrying Bill and living in his wake while all the time wishing it was she who had the power and influence Bubba wielded in Arkansas and on the national scene after he became President.
She wasn't even a particularly good lawyer when she was practicing law part-time. She's unqualified for the job of SoS and was only placed there to mollify Bill and his supporters in the Democrat Party after Obama made a fool out of Hillary in the primaries.
