LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A Southern California filmmaker linked to an anti-Islamic movie inflaming protests across the Middle East was interviewed by federal probation officers at a Los Angeles sheriff's station but was not arrested or detained, authorities said early Saturday Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, was interviewed at the station in his hometown of Cerritos, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Don Walker said. Federal officials have said they were investigating the activities of Nakoula, who has been convicted of financial crimes. If the probation department determines Nakoula violated terms of his release, a judge could send him back to prison.

There can be only one - and he MUST not be blamed.
Fresh scapegoat comin’ up!
We must all take the fall for our dear leader. I’ll be careful what I post from now on.
If uploading a video to Youtube is a probation violation, it would seem that our prisons would be a lot more “overcrowded” than they are.
I remember the Jimmy Carter Iran US Embassy Hostage debacle well. Jimmy Carter was held an impotent hostage in the White House for over a year. His ordeal came to an end when a real man came to office.
The situation is virtually the same except that Obama is now held hostage at campaigning/fund raising events except when he is golfing, or when whenever he and his brood are planning lavish separate vacations.
He has no fears about propriety because he is assured the lapdog MSM will stand him good stead in his absence.
As a kid in L.A. burbs we’d laugh at the local police but even 45 years ago the L.A. County sheriff’s were naziesque
I guess I shouldn’t be shocked.
But I have been shocked at how the MSM has portrayed this whole episode. Rather than holding those who commit violence and atrocities responsible for their actions, instead, the MSM and liberals blame somebody who puts a silly video on You Tube for enflaming anger in the Muslim world. Rather than question the foreign policy of Obama/Clinton, any blame for unrest is placed upon some 2 bit “film maker”.
So, we apparently should expect Muslims to riot and commit mayhem based on any slights, real or imagined, to their religion.
The same liberals who praise Piss Christ as art, and defend the right of artists to create such “art”, don’t care that such “art” is deeply offensive to Christians. Yet these same liberals apparently think we should bend over backwards so as not to offend the religious sensibilities of Muslims.
Why the contradiction? If you are proudly irreligious, then to be intellectually honest, you should stand up and defend all literature, works of art, or movies, which are offensive to adherents of the targeted faiths.
Mr. Nakoula is giving filmmakers a bad name. Not only because he produced a film that Islamofascist terrorists have used as a pretext for attacking American embassies, but also because his fellow filmmakers around the world have been too cowardly to stand together to defend him for expressing his views.
....our Republic is gone....
Oh my god I thought Marlon Brando was dead.
And exactly what are the Feds and LA Sheriff’s Dept. going to “charge” this filmmaker — blasphemy under Sharia law? A hate (thought) crime?
Hahaha sounds like another dictator. Because of his failures his people had to take the fall. Let’s all guess which dictator I am talking about?
They will likely charge him with some other crime but in essence it will be because he offended the Muslims and blasphemed. Anyone else feel like a National Blaspheme Obama day?? Burn your empty chairs..or empty suits in the street! The revolution has begun....LOL
Yup. The Muslim-In-Chief is furious that such a person walks free and has ordered him taken down any way they can dream up.
It means that Sharia Law is victorious in America: no one is allowed to blaspheme the "prophet", else they risk the fury of the Mad Mobs of the Middle East!
Have they gotten around to interviewing the “Artist” who placed the Crucifix in a jar of urine for the “provocative” photo called “Piss Christ?”
Problem is, they were directed to do this.
Slight problem here:
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, doesn’t sound or read like a typical American name.
Maybe we need that spell CZeczher Fiend?
I understand that to a certain extent.
Since there were so few deputies for the amount of folks they used a quick response by deputies who generally had NO idea about the area they policed.
They just went in and busted heads, and arrested anyone they thought needed arresting.
I moved to Tampa where at the time the local police were more like the keystone cops,.
Ayn Rand predicted you would ask this question, and here is her answer:
"There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."
-- from Atlas Shrugged
” Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, doesnt sound or read like a typical American name.”
Jay Carney: “ I personally know 7 guys named Nakoula Basseley Nakoula”
Ah! The man with multiple SS#’s....
