WASHINGTON (AP) — Objections by Sudan's government have held up the security mission of an elite Marine team that the U.S. planned to send to Khartoum, a U.S. official said Saturday.
As a result, the deployment has been delayed and possibly curtailed, according to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to disclose details on the troop movement.
The Marine unit, known as a fleet anti-terrorism security team, was ordered to Sudan in the wake of violence and protests against the U.S. Embassy.
Similar teams were sent to Libya on Wednesday after the attack that killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi, and to Yemen on Friday......

Could be Sudan wants the option of taking the embassy hostage if political winds blow that way.

I’m shocked! The genocidal maniacs in charge of Sudan are against allowing Marines to protect our embassy staff as they are besieged by violent mobs of Muslim thugs??? No way! The cause of this is clear. Obama has not apologized enough to Muslims just yet...
How many Americans will die because of this in Sudan?
If you refuse to let our Marines protect our embassy, you assume the responsibility of that protection yourselves. Therefore, if any harm comes to any personnel or property in that compound, you will be held as liable as if you had committed the offenses yourselves. Then deployment of our Marines will no longer be a negotiable issue. They WILL be deployed, and they will be deployed in your capital, where they will take your leaders into custody to face charges of criminal negligence.
Or we will simply bomb your worthless third-world dust collection off the face of the earth.
Would you like to reconsider letting the Marines in?
Don’t they understand that the request is from Obama and that they love Obama?
