It’s looking more and more like this film was supposed to the first amendment what Fast & Furious was supposed to be to the second. F&F was about finding a pretext to ban guns, and this looks like a pretext to go after free speech.

And with similar botched results: some dead public servants, and an utterly incoherent policy that must have our enemies (be they drug cartels, islamonazis, or adverse foreign powers) in stitches...

“If this were a Republican administration...” you know the rest of the sentence.

I have to agree with you. The parallels are eery.

“this film was supposed to the first amendment what Fast & Furious was supposed to be to the second”

correct

See Bachmann’s speech from yesterday. Also, this dovetails nicely with obozo’s plan to take over the internet with an executive order.

I agree with you. Some think it’s about the blind sheik but something tells me it’s about the UN Resolution 16/18 which both Obama and Hillary support.

When one watches these riots and gets reports there’s usually no surprises. We see the reporter interviewing one or more of the male protestors, people we’ve seen minutes before leading the parade and goading the followers. They’re usually decent looking w/ intense serious eyes, decently clad, and English speaking. And they all have a demand, shared w/ the reporters in increments, the major goal coming at the end. One can watch them write the actual story for the reporters.

Here’s an example...

[...] Standing in front of the new wall, the demonstrators’ demands were a moving target. Some said THEY WANTED the United States to APOLOGIZE for the video. Told that both Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had condemned the video earlier this week, they then said THEY WANTED an INVESTIGATION. Told that the U.S. was looking into the video, they said THEY WANTED it REMOVED from YouTube, a step outside U.S. government control. [...]Nearby, Mustafa Amin, 26, an unemployed teaching school graduate, PROPOSED AN INTERNATIONAL LAW “ that would CRIMINALIZE ANY ASSAULT ON THE PROPHET. And it should be under the supervision of the United Nations.”

Bottomline: criminalize speech.

Obama vs. the First Amendment

In 2009, the Obama State Department ceremoniously joined with Muslim governments to propose a United Nations resolution that, as legal commentator Stuart Taylor observed, was “all-too-friendly to censoring speech that some religions and races find offensive.” Titled “Freedom of Opinion and Expression” — a name only an Alinskyite or a Muslim Brotherhood tactician could love — the resolution was the latest salvo in a years-long campaign by the 57-government Organization of the Islamic Conference (now renamed the “Organization of Islamic Cooperation”). The OIC’s explicit goal is to coerce the West into adopting sharia, particularly its “defamation” standards. [...]

There may be no anti-Islamic movie at all (dubbing...):
http://www.csmonitor.com/World...

Do you remember the American version of the mohammed cartoons that started the riots in Europe and the Middle East a few years ago, which was later established that some of the more inflammatory cartoons were created by the mullahs who were preaching jihad in Europe. What’s to stop them from doing the same thing to this movie. And being a Coptic it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the guy has family in Egypt and he’s been coerced. Anyway all I know is that it reeks of malfeasence.

Note: Sometimes one needs reminding that the gaols of Islam and National Socialism are basically the same. Hitler also enjoyed an alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood.

"................Nakoula was arrested in June 2009, pleaded no contest to the bank fraud charges a year later and was released from federal prison in June 2011 after serving a 21-month prison term, according to federal records.

An initial report about the federal probation review appeared in The Wall Street Journal.

There are indications that "Innocence of Muslims" may have already been under way as a film project when Mr. Nakoula was arrested. A casting call for actors and crew for a film called "Desert Warrior" ran in Backstage magazine, based in Los Angeles and New York, in May and June 2009. The casting call described the film project as a "historical Arabian Desert adventure" and listed a "Sam Bassiel" as producer.................."
