Also Italy, France, the UK. I'm not sure why anyone even bothers to look at the New York Times any more. It's sad, just 30 years ago it was actually the "paper of record," or at least many of us thought it was.
Now it's just a farce. Or, worse, a direct propaganda arm of our totalitarian government.
No point in getting tangled up with worrying about what gang colors they wear.
Compare that to the map of recent ‘demonstrations’ and ‘attacks’ in the Middle East.

The London bombings and the multiple attempted bombings since then pretty much confirm that Al-Qaeda has members in the UK (no surprises there)
They also forgot to include the Chavezsphere where terrorists are being trained in the jungles (Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Argentina)
No, they were operating our of Iraq. Jaysh Al Mahdi (Messiah’s Army) were being trained/equipped by Iranian gov’t/military against us.
JAM and AQ had frequent run-ins. Shi’ites in/around Sadr City would never give up JAM folks since they were often protecting the populace against the AQ and other assorted Sunni death squads.
It was a real mess over there.
