CURL: Obama’s protective press cordon
The Washington Times ^ | September 16, 2012 | Joseph Curl

A full day after the U.S. ambassador to Libya was brutally killed by a Muslim mob, another mob attacked Mitt Romney. While armed only with pens and notebooks, the cabal meant to inflict the same outcome on the Republican’s presidential campaign.

Protecting and defending President Obama through his failures and blunders and gaffes is a full-time job for America’s mainstream press corps — and they’re getting worried. So, they attacked the GOP nominee for his reaction to the U.S. Embassy in Egypt’s statement condemning “the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.”

Was that “appropriate”? “Mixed signal”? “Jumped the gun”? Seven of eight questions were on his statement. It was an another embarrassing day for the national media, and the slap-down was short-lived; within 48 hours, the Middle East and North Africa were in full-blown crisis, and details began to pour out about all the administration had done wrong leading up to the first killing of a U.S. ambassador since the one term of Jimmy Carter.

The U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, it turned out, was barely guarded; the mob easily breached security and swarmed in. Worse, a U.K. newspaper reported, “the U.S. State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and ‘lockdown.’”

In the days following the killing, the White House scrambled to pin blame on something or someone — anything but them. White House spokesman Jay Carney said the violence in Egypt and Libya was “in response to a video, a film we have judged to be reprehensible and disgusting,” referring to a YouTube video, “The Innocence of Muslims.”

Of course, the claim was preposterous....

He gets hundreds of millions, perhaps billions of dollars worth of in-kind donations from their preferential lapdog coverage of him. Without them, he'd still be a state senator.

Jay Carney said the violence in Egypt and Libya was “in response to a video. That is pathetic Mr. Carney....the world knows and sees what is really going on. Mr. Obama bragged about the killing of OBL....Mrs. Clinton bragged about the death of Gaddafi...Obama is a Muslim, Mrs. Clinton has a Muslim as her secretary....who will be next...the MSM will not cover the Obama connection and his kill list......Obama is to blame as much as any one however, it has nothing to do with the film...who has seen it anyway? Obama should step down he is a total failure.

By week’s end, no doubt at the order of the White House, the State Department clammed up completely. “We have an open FBI investigation on the death of these four Americans. We are not going to be in a position to talk at all about what the U.S. government may or may not be learning about how any of this happened — not who they were, not how it happened, not what happened to Ambassador [J. Christopher] Stevens, not any of it — until the Justice Department is ready to talk about the investigation … ,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said

OUTRAGEOUS!!

Last I heard it was the FBI...now it's under Holder's purview?

Can you imagine if the Bush administration had refused to talk about Abu Ghraib...Guantanamo, etc. etc. etc. only 24 hours after they happened.

The State Dept. is unable to dig to find out some facts about their own embassy?

This is not acceptable!

Without his black skin and his media pals Obama would still be a Community Organizer
in Chicago making a living by scamming little old black ladies out of their welfare money.

What do we do about it? We keep fighting the wrong war. The war we need to win is the Media war. The MSM has all the big guns. Rush & Beck are just pimples on the MSM’s A$$. Sure, they are making progress, but it is TOO SLOW. Romney and ALL Conservatives should go after the media, like Newt and Romney (somewhat) did in the primaries. Call them on their lies, on their biases, on their all out support of the Democrat Party.

It will make NEWS!

Point out their oversampled phony polls. Point out all the passes they give Obama and never give Republicans.

NO PASSES FOR ANYONE, REPORT, WE'LL decide.

P.S. Tell the interviewer, “If you were a REAL journalist, you wouldn't say X Y Z”

“If you were a REAL journalist, you wouldn't cover up for Obama”

“If you were a REAL journalist, you wouldn't lie about X Y Z”

“Do you realize that to get unbiased news from REAL journalists, you have to go to Pravda and UK papers.”

Many more I'm sure. You get the idea.

Used to be that MSM fact checkers could protect Obama simply by declaring this or that is true/false. But it's coming too fast, stronger action is needed; enter the flak chuckers to shoot down the opponents themselves and not just their facts -- the the MSM truly are Obama's servile, complaisant, undistinguished media (SCUM).

Void the bowels of Washington this November!

IF the liberal journalists act as a group think pack then there's no reason to have more than one asking questions. Romeny should limit questions to one liberal journalist and one conservative journalist. Yeah, real 'diversity' among journalists... a black liberal, a white liberal, a straight liberal, a gay liberal, a poor liberal, a rich liberal, a foreign born liberal, a transgender liberal... yeah, diversity.

The press is terrified that a defeated Obama will mean that all the lies and cover-ups and negligence they’ve engaged in to put and keep Obama in power will uncovered. That’s why they are all in this 110% for Obama, and to anybody who isn’t a true believer it’s beginning to look ridiculous.

The ones who aren’t scared don’t care, because they are counting on Romney to save them if Obama loses.

Romney, like Bush before him, will have zero interest in investigating the wrongdoings of his predecessor. “Time to move on”.

This is Dan Rather and the fake memos writ large. Sadly, they aren’t going to get called on it.

Got this in an email tonight!

The Tantrum!!

Picture worth ten thousand words - "The little boy" did not get his way - this wasn't in the news, but it sure can be visualized.....

"Poor baby" did not get his way and had a "tantrum." Bet you won't see this on network TV:

Obama leaving a meeting with Congressional leaders after Cantor told the president "Republicans would not vote for his proposed tax hikes."

"This idiot displays his true class and respect for the office." Just goes to show once again, that there is no fix, or excuse, for stupidity and ingrained ignorance.

Obama picked up his toys and stormed out of the meeting, kicking the door open!

There, my friends is the leader of our country...... aren't you proud?
