I read Rasmussen’s numbers the same way. Ras has Obama up 2 points in Florida and 1 point in Ohio on his map.
That means if held today the fat lady would be singing.
This is too cautious. I don’t believe MO is a tossup and NC is only “leaning Romney”.
Except for Bush in 2000, for the last 20 years New Hampshire has lived up to the “Live Free” part of the slogan. With the hand outs given in 2000, I guess they voted that way then as well. I suspect the same thing happened there as elsewhere, people decided that the public schools should solely educate their children and did not check back on what they were learning.
I live in a neighboring state to NH. While watching the NFL yesterday on a station whose broadcast reaches into NH, I saw several obnoxious Obamugabe ads but ZERO Romney ads. I believe one reason Obama is leading in NH is because Romney is holding back on advertising. Big mistake.
If we don’t snag Ohio, we’ll need to run the table.
But that is very do-able.
Also, Nevada and New Hampshire are still in play. New Mexico may be in play....but probably leans zero as of now.
The crazy thing with Ohio is that early voting will begin very soon. So we had better have a GOTV effort there. Cuz, the dead will vote often.

Look, the real problem is not the 50% who pay little or no taxes, or those on the dole. The real probem is the corrupt progaganda MSM. We are like a frog in a stove pot filled with water. The water is getting hotter and we can see it all around us and yet the corrupt MSM keeps telling everyone that the water’s fine. No problem. MO is NOT going for Obama if they didn’t in 2008...that is just ridiculous to even think it. NC is definitely going Romney. Romney also gets IN. Now for the rest, he needs to get working. Forget PA, NV, MI and all the other dreams and get crackin’ on Virginia, Florida and Ohio. That is where the focus should be exclusively.
If Obama had Ohio won he wouldn’t be wasting his time there. I have no idea what Romney’s internal polling shows, but for Obama to wasting his time in a state he supposedly has in the bag shows me he doesn’t have it in the bag

Those 12 states are the entire election. Unfortunately, Romney is going to need to win at least 8 of them to win. Be on your knees, folks. By prayer, we can succeed. We can’t expect much help from anywhere else.
Remember 2000? Either the Democrats screwed up Palm Beach County or (my view) God intervened to screw up the Democrats plans to stuff the ballot in Palm Beach County and gave those votes to Buchanan.
I realize many of you don’t believe Romney is a Christian but that doesn’t mean God won’t have a hand in this election. Woe to us all if He believes that America needs to be destroyed by re-electing Obama.

Yes, I agree. Romney was ahead in FL in August, and is now down in FL and OH post democrap convention.
The Obama vote in Ohio is in the inner cities, and that’s where he’s at in Hamilton County today. The more he pushes his numbers up there, the more the suburbs, exurbs, and rural vote gets neutralized.
It’s real close here, Sarah. Always is despite what dishonest pollsters say. Rasmussen is about the only one who has it right. He has it nearly dead even.

Most here say that MSM is dead. Are you saying it is alive and well? I don’t blame the Democrats for having MSM. I blame the Republicans for not having the same type of mechanism. Why doesn’t the rich conservatives start a new station or two or three? It is ridiculous to blame MSM who is for the Democrats when the Conservatives don’t even try to get a tv channel going. Fox News was a conservative channel but the conservatives let it go to the waistside. Conservatives have a lock on radio and internet for the most part. I don’t see MSM folks complaining about that.

I dont think Obama will get as much of the black vote as he did in 2008. That is why I think these poll numbers are skewed, they are reflecting the 2008 numbers. I think this time it will reflect the 2004 numbers which is the norm. Rasmussen is the most reliable I do agree with that but Romney is going to win NC and MO as well so soon he will need to put that in the Romney column

What needs to be done is to find a way around their lock on widely broadcast, entertainment, immediate news, and commentary.

The problem is he doesn’t need to pick up any more states, he just has to work not to lose to many. He had 352 electors last time. That is 70 more than needed so he can afford to lose some. Romney needs to ADD to his total quickly.
Who watches the corrupt alphabet networks and cable news? The elderly in FL and elwhere across the country and the less educated and lower-income groups. And the Oprah women crowd are incapable of detecting media bias.
It is these people who are Obama supporters or who call themselves independants and who sway like a reed in the political wind.
Combined, these people make up the Democrat majority and are very easily pursuaded by popular opinion as stage managed by the corrupt MSM.
I have no idea why guys like Rove (Crossroads) don’t try to counter that or why FOX has gone totally limp.
There were people canvassing for Obama in Red Hampshire yesterday...as usual; the cars they were driving had out of state plates...young, brain-dead females.
The fact is that these people really aren't undecided. They've had 4 years of life with obama. They know whether or not they want 4 more and my guess is they don't.

This is a toss up, plain and simple. I'm thinking at this point the R's are a bit more motivated, in spite of Romney not motivating us very much. It could go either way, in any of these toss up or leaning states.
Then you know that in 2010, it was total and complete carnage for the RATS in NH. Veto proof super majorities elected in both the House and Senate.

cheating will be less a factor this year in Ohio. Republicans won the Secretary of State job last time it was up for grabs.

The name of the game for republicans is “ground game”. If they go shock’n’awe with their ground game, then they’ll win.
