This kind of governmental micro-management is insane and tyrannical.

Yes. And it's just a warm-up for the "Really big show," once Obamugabe's reelected. Dumbed-down Americans can't seem to rush fast enough to put on the chains of government their forefathers fought so valiantly to throw off.

The government will demand the difference. It a voluntary tax they’ll claim... You could have pumped 4 gallons to not get screwed if you really wanted to...

And if you want to be snarky then:

Tell me in all your infinite wisdom how the government can tell people they can’t buy a soda drink larger than 16 oz and how that would legally hold up in court... And for that matter in all your infinite wisdom tell me how the government can tell people they have to buy health insurance and how the government can mandate what the insurance will cover and not cover and how that would legally hold up in court...

Then get back to me.

Idjits... I ride my Kawi Ninja about 20,000 miles per year and it doesn’t hold that much. Am I supposed to hose it all over the place or leave it for the Obamabuck crowd that’ll hand around looking for leftovers?

Actually, you would be wise not to use ethanol gas in your mower or small engine. It mucks up the carb real good... Find non ethanol gas for that.

There are ZERO gas stations in my area offering pure gasoline without ethanol.

The government could not demand for the difference, as the amount the government would receive is generated from the taxes on the gasoline that is physically purchased. The remaining amount of money from the gas purchase would go to the gas station. Since I did not receive 4 gallons of gas, the gas station cannot take payment for 4 gallons, as they have no right to charge me for something I have not received. With that, I could sue the gas station and win on the basis of I paid for goods that I did not receive. This in itself would null and void the mandate, as the gas station could not pay the tax to the government on something that wasn't purchased.

In regards to your other comments, our government is setup with a system of checks and balances. Just because a law is written and passed by the legislature, does not mean that it will not be struck down by the courts. As well, just because the courts 'uphold' a law doesn't mean that future legislature will not overturn it.

"I wonder how they are going to enforce that?"

Don't worry. They won't care if you actually take 4 gallons, they'll just make sure at minimum you pay for 4 gallons... ala pre-pay.

Your lawn mower will not last that long running Ethanol.

you are paying 12% more for fuel because of Ethanol. Smile big Corn Lobby,

The 12% number is a NASCAR number, for the mileage they lost when they had to start burning food for fuel.

Lisa Jackson of the EPA is out of control. Her “master” has spoken and she is running with the ball.

We vote Obama out at least we are making the only step we can.
