Wow — the guy carries a knife while walking his dog. I’ll bet he never thought he would ever have to use it.
This guy was a racist. If only he had minded his own business or let the police handle this. I think this guy was out looking for trouble. Er.. what... this happened in CA not FL, sorry, my bad.
It might not have been the first time he and his dog encounted this roaming menace.
Well, I guess I can get things started here.
“Wow, it never did THAT before.....”
In California we can't carry guns, and many of us carry full sized fighting knives, even into bars.
I carry a buck knife while walking my dog too. You know, in case I have to cut his leash so he can attack more efficiently.
It was loose? Idiot should have pressed charges...happy ending, in any event.
My everyday carry is a huge folder, the Benchmade 610 Ruckus, and a small Spyderco.
My normal sheath carry is a Glock without the saw, and occasionally I will replace that with the massive Bill Bagwell designed, Ontario made, Hell’s Belle, but a 17” knife with 11” of a pure fighting blade, can make you feel a little self-conscious, unless you really feel that you need it, for one thing I have to carry it Bowie belly style, slipped into the front of my belt.
I carry a knife everywhere. Two actually. A locking folder for self defense and a Leatherman multi-tool.
Those jackbooted thugs....errr sorry wrong thread.

I do and for that exact reason. Yes, I do think about using it.
That oughta do the job.

May I recommend the old trusty standard new and improved walking stick:
It can poke, it can whack, it can wallop, it can thump and it can do so at a safe distance especially when supplemented by a pocket full of dog rocks.
The company that makes those knives used to be in El Cajon, til the state got so oppressive that they moved. To Texas, I think.
Cops missed one I guess.
I have one of those El Cajon buck knives. They are nice.
When I jog I don’t carry a knife; I carry a Ruger LCP. I was attacked by a pit bull one day. I drew down on him and drew an imaginary line in the road that if he crossed I was going to shoot him. I really, really didn’t want to. I swear the dog knew what I was pointing at him because he slammed on the brakes and never got any closer. His owner came and got him. I told the owner I didn’t want to shoot his dog and he never said a word. Just got the dog and took him home.
