I doubt Obama would commit political suicide before the election. Afterwards, maybe.

Obama can do what ever he wants because the willing news media will cover up or spin anything that looks bad.

The American people would never buy that one. And Obama would never take such a risk before the election. What could he possibly gain with such a move?
