Validity or veracity was not the issue. Reread the post I was responding to, particularly the quoted material she was responding to herself, and you’ll see where I was coming from. Notice there was no response? That’s because she was trying to tar an entire religion and its present followers by implication and utterly without justification. I was just giving her an opportunity to expose herself by bringing up the one event the Mormon haters always do, even though it happened more than 150 years ago (and as far as anybody knows, it wasn’t because people were “making fun” of” Mormonism). Contrast that record with the conduct of modern adherants to Islam and you the two religions are entirely different animals.
