Rasmussen Colorado poll: Romney 47, Obama 45

Despite all the hand-wringing about Mitt Romney’s campaign (see, e.g., here, here, and here), Romney is slightly ahead of President Barack Obama in Colorado, a key battleground state, according to the latest Rasmussen poll.

The article on Rasmussen’s website is incorrectly dated August 7, 2012. The poll was carried out yesterday and the results were published today.

Six percent of survey respondents were undecided. Typically in a race against an incumbent, undecided voters break toward the challenger.

The Rasmussen poll follows a Denver post poll last week showing Obama 1 point ahead of Romney.

Colorado has 9 electoral votes.

Ras has always been wrong. The guy couldn’t poll who liked chocolate. In 2008 he was dead last.

Polls are nothing but “reality TV” for the brain dead masses.

Rasmussen by far the most accurate in the last four years. Dead on in 08. He was one point behind some other pollster because the other had the “spread” closer, but way oversampled Obama.

Agreed. This is huge news. If Romney is up in Colorado, that means Obama is cratering elsewhere.

Not 08 but maybe you were referring to 2000 when Ras blew it big time.

this seems as good a thread as any to ask a Colorado question what does the party "UAF" stand for in this pdf of colorado voters?

How is discussing a poll make someone a ‘troll’? Did you just get off on thinking you’re being popular by using the term? What a immature moron.

UAF in Colorado means “unaffiliated” or Independents.

If polls were meaningless, the candidates wouldn’t spend millions on their internal ones.

Polls are important, but they do need to be examined and not taken at face value.
