Skip to comments.NBC/WSJ poll: Optimism in Obama presidency increases (BS!)
Posted on 09/18/2012 11:18:49 AM PDT by tobyhill
The percentage of voters believing that the country is better off since Barack Obama became president jumped seven points after the two political conventions, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
Thirty-eight percent of registered voters now say the nation is better off, which is up from 31 percent in the August NBC/WSJ poll conducted before the conventions.
Still, a plurality of voters -- 41 percent -- believe the country is worse off, while 21 percent think it's in the same place.
"Are you better off than you were four years ago?" has been a question that Republicans raised right before the Democratic convention began earlier this month. And top officials and surrogates from the Obama campaign had a difficult time, initially, answering the question.

I think this is the poll where the sample was Dem +23. Hardly a valid poll
Well, now we know the percentage Romney should have used to discuss people who will vote for Obama because their government benes increased is 38%, not 42%.
What the hell has happened to the WSJ? To be associated with the National Barak Channel is an absolute disgrace!!
The State-Run Media is going all out on the propaganda offensive
The WSJ had a mostly conservative/libertarian opinion/edtorial page, but its reporters were about as liberal as the rest of the press.
Hmmmm. Does this take into account our dead ambassador?
LOL NBC..they have turned into Al Jazeera..they are laughable as a network, all in the tank for the kenyan marxist
So you have 38% of the country (according this poll) saying the country is better off...and they spin that into a positive headline for Obama? 38%? Because that’s higher than 31%?
Headline if Conservative incumbent were subject of poll:
“Twice as Many Voters Think They Are Worse Off Than Those Who Think They Are Better Off!”
This poll is old news (last week). So if they are still writing about it, it shows you they are nervous re: disastrous Middle East - along with polls like Rasmussen and Gallup showing race deadlocked again.
country is better off since Barack Obama became president jumped seven points
These same lemming like trolls would jump off a cliff if Obama told them to,
Don’t they see that Obama’s child like appeasement policies are about to start a major war in the Mid-east.?
The full NBC/WSJ poll — which was taken of 900 registered voters (270 by cell phone) from Sept. 12-16 and which has an overall margin of error of plus-minus 3.3 percentage points — will be released at 6:30 pm ET.
So 62% feel the country is in trouble and that’s not the headline?
I remember when the Wall Street Journal reported economic information and was pretty good at it. Now they aren’t worth a crap for following the markets and they spread horse manure along with NBC!
The WSJ says it will release the full poll at 6:30 P.M., presumably EDT.
In other words, it will be the MSM's favorite poll by later this evening. :)
Let’s see, am I better off since the OB was elected.
Well I pay 2X as much for gas,
can’t afford to buy hamburger
now I have to pay the Obama Tax (Obamacare)
I can be detained with no right of habeus corpus
Why hell yes I am better off (/off Sarcasm)
Mitt Romney is not the only candidate in the race.
video of burning U.S. Embassies and of the beaten, violated corpses of American diplomats being dragged through the streets -belongs to the other candidate.
Would be a neat trick as according to Nielsen virtually no one watched those conventions.
With 47% freeloading, lowlifes riding in the wagon while the rest of us have to pull, it’s easy to understand why the Kenyan Marxist has a shot at a second term. Freebies trump freedom with the new “americans” now infesting this once great country.
Nice chart. I read it as Romney by about 4.
