The French Magazine Firebombed Last Year Is Planning To Anger Hardline Islamists Again Tomorrow

Charlie Hebdo, a long-running French satirical magazine, angered hardline Islamic groups last year with a magazine guest-edited by "Mohammad", the Islamic prophet.

For their efforts, the magazine eventually found that their offices firebombed. Luckily no-one was injured, and the magazine went on to put up another shocking issue, with a cover that showed a traditionally-dressed Muslim man (perhaps Mohammed?) sloppily kissing a male Charlie Hebdo cartoonist.

Now, according to Le Monde, the editors of Charlie Hebdo are preparing to cause controversy again with a issue released tomorrow. The cover shows a Muslim man in a wheelchair pushed by an Orthodox Jew with foil cap and under the title "Untouchables 2", an imaginary sequel to a recent French film. The pair are saying (rough translation) "You must not mock us!" According to Le Monde, there are more shocking cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad inside the magazine "in daring positions".

Of course, given recent protests around the world about an anti-Islamic YouTube video and a new, higher reward on Salman Rushdie's head, we suppose the timing of this issue is... brave?

France's Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, is currently in Cairo and has condemned the cartoons, saying "I am against provocations".

Here's the cover:

Those cartoons look about as good as the movie.

That magazine is braver than numerous websites afraid to print the word, “Muslim”, for fear of offending, plus braver than most of our US senators, representatives, and candidates who are so afraid of “offending”.

Freepers still have freedom of speech here and I hope it continues.

Jews of the world will riot, invade Embassies, kill Ambassadors, until France submits!

(Well, okay, France would submit, but you get my drift....)

The French Resistance is alive and well.
And as to the words of the French Foreign Minister:
“I am against provocations”, he might as well be part of our
State Department. The public officials, who still want to curry favor with Radical Islam, have painted themselves into a corner with their pusillanimous pipsqueakery:what it comes down to, will come down to, and is DESIGNED to come down to, is that they are being asked to chip away at their own civil rights, and take Islam’s side in these matters. Little by little Islam makes them Shar’ia compliant, little by little
Islam becomes a political player in the nations of the West.
Fact is, and I am quite sure of this, the majority of Frenchmen don’t buy this “official” position, and has their fuses shortened every time something like this happens.

The standards for cartoons are not the same as those for High Art. Radical Islam gets the art it deserves: clumsily drawn cartoons and Ed-Wood-amateur “movies”, made on a hundred dollar budget. I find that “poetic justice”.

With this French mag....Miss Barnhardt over in Colorado...and some other honest people....the Muslims just may riot themselves to death

And you can bet the Islamic Terrorists, and their feral animal followers, will do everything possible to make sure they act as they are parodied

It's a pity that Dr. Seuss never got to take a whack at Mo-ham-head.

I love it! Dr. Seuss!
I’ve already started to work on titles:
but for openers “Green Eggs and Ham” could stand just as it
is.....

Ted Geisel's wartime political cartoons were his best work, IMO.

IMHO, none of them are afraid of offending anyone! They are supposed to be leaders and most of them are gd cowards (and I include 90% of the media), scared to death that some muzzy scumbag will blow up their office building, wire up their car or kill their kids and instead of having the balls to do what must be done they freakin’ dither and play signifying monkey.

Dhimmis all.
