Washington Compost in VA: 0bama 52% Romney 44% - No internals available

With just seven weeks of campaigning left before the November election, President Obama holds a clear lead over Mitt Romney in Virginia, buoyed by growing optimism about the state of the country and fueled by a gender gap working in his favor, according to a new Washington Post poll.

Obama leads his Republican rival by 52 percent to 44 percent among likely voters. Among all registered voters, the president leads by 50 percent to 43 percent, a margin identical to that recorded in a survey in early May. That indicates that Romney has made up little apparent ground against Obama during four intense months of advertising and campaign visits.

I vacationed in NoVa and Wash DC in April.
It looks like America USED to look.

50% of the commercial buildings DON’T have “available” or “for lease” like they do here in the midwest.
Big cranes on the skyline building stuff.

That federal gusher of cash has been very kind to the area.
I can see why they support Baraq.

Hopefully Romney has a TRUSTED polling firm working for him.

When the MSM announces a ‘poll’ without any internals, it’s pretty obvious that they want his campaign to hang it up and pull out.

So far Romney’s been pretty smart...and won’t take the bait. Virginia is not only winnable, it’s a CINCH as long as he takes it seriously. Yes, the people in the Arlington area LOVE big government, but Virginia is a HUGE state and downstate people cannot stand this president.

We have no truth in media and polling outfits now are agenda driven and I do not believe anyone other than Levin, Limbaugh or Palin.

This election will more mirror the 2010 turnout than that for 2008. More Republicans voted in 2010 than Democrats in the state of Virginia. Time will tell but doing a D+8 poll in Virginia will in no way reflect the turnout this year, which is more likely to be around R+2.

That's a 10-point swing.

The number of people who self-identify as Republicans is at least equal to the number of people who self-identify as Democrats. Yet the pollsters continue to over sample Democrats.

I agree with you 100%. The DemocRATS have thousands of lawyers getting ready to challenge the results if Barry Soetoro doesn’t win. I may just do an absentee ballot and then try to be off planet in November (after the race at PIR) and December. The holidays aren’t going to be pleasant this year unless one side calls for a Christmas truce. America against the global communists is finally about to happen. I really don’t see how it can be avoided. JMO.

There are internals, but it takes some digging.

This Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone September 12 to 16, 2012, among a random sample of 1,104 adults in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Interviews were conducted on conventional and cellular telephones, and carried out in English and Spanish by Abt-SRBI of New York. The results from the full sample have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points; it is four points for the samples of 934 registered voters and 847 likely voters.

Democrat 32
Republican 24
Independent 35
(VOL.) No Pref./Other 5
Don't know 4

EXIST POLLS SHOWED BUSH LOSING 14% hours after polls closed. I woke up and Bush won by the widest margin of victory in the popular vote in history.

These are evil communist liars.

If you are a human being that believes ANYTHING from ANY polling organization, you are in the level of IQ for a mental handicapped.

This includes Gallop- you know all read what happened when they even attempted to be objective. The Tyrant and illegitimate “president” did the typical union tactic of direct retaliation and blackmail, on the whistleblower/truth-teller.

We don’t live in a reality now. Wake up. SMELL THE BULLSHIT

This poll has been posted three times today. I don’t know of two other polls. This is a poll of ADULTS and without knowing anything else you need to adjust it by 4. Then, on top of that, they OVERSAMPLED Dems to make up the difference. WaPo and WSJ have both been very poor, as they were in 2008.

I don’t know any 2008 Virginia Obama voters, other than die hard libs, that don’t have buyers remorse. None. Nada. Zip.

This is exactly what I think they are doing: setting up a sure loss for then delegitimizing the Romney presidency. (”How could Romney win? ALL the polls said he was winning big.”

The “media” should be held responsible for everything that happens in November. Right now, I see it getting ugly no matter who wins. Our country is divided and it was the Democrats who made it that way. We’re all in trouble IMHO.
