One that would top my list is Diane Sawyer. She is so smarmy that I cannot watch her.
Dan Rather is still oozing aound on current tv.
But I will say that Bill ""No Spin" O'Reilly is a whirling dervish.. I quit listening to his radio show as he trashed the swift boat critics of John Kerry who he did not want to offend because he wanted Kerry on his TV show and they were good friends.

My candidate moves under the radar for the most part because of the secondary role radio plays over television. It’s easy to pick one of the high profile “faces”. My vote for most infuriating media person is Ann Compton, ABC White House corespondant. She’s heard daily all over the country on AM radio on the hour. She has this breathy, self-assured of her own impartiality type of voice, and gives us daily reports about what a heroic and magnificent man Obama is, with the unsaid subtext that she’d remove her dentures and give him a lewinsky in a heartbeat. She’s my vote.

Shepard Smith. Being on Fox gives him a patina of credibility but he is a ‘tool’ for sure.
What about the time Mr. O'Reilly said that someone should kill Matt Drudge? (On the Don Imus show.) That was after accusing Drudge of illegal drug abuse. Drudge was doing Sunday night radio and he played that clip several times.
I did a lot to "investigate" using google.. what I found were two strings of characters "I Hate Blacks" and a similar one that I cannot recall exactly.
There were a thread or two talking about an article in San Francisco's AsianWeek by Kenneth Eng called ""Why I Hate Blacks" that was discussed here.
The clowns at O'Reilly found the string of characters "I Hate Blacks" on several threads so . . . .
The second string of characters was in a reply from a FReeper who emphasized that he did not hate black people just because he criticizes some of them.
I emailed O'Reilly my findings and I recall that the outrage grew here to the point where O'Reilly contacted Jim Robinson with his (O'Reilly) links to the "offending" remarks -- I do not recall exactly what they were.

Looks like O'Reilly scrambled to find something "offensive" to somebody -- anybody! -- but as the thread says.. The "I hate blacks" comment was nowhere to be found in the other threads (OReilly) referenced.
