Actress Jessica Alba uses the Pledge of Allegiance as an example of the campaign in an email to supporters.
“Growing up, my classmates and I started every day with a ritual: We’d stand up, put our right hand over our hearts, and say the Pledge of Allegiance,” explains Alba. “To me, that gesture was a promise. A promise to be involved and engaged in this country’s future. A promise to work for liberty and justice — and for affordable education, health care, and equality — for all.”
Alba joins Hollywood actresses Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson by photographing herself with her hand on her heart pledging to vote for Obama.
“That’s why all across the country, people like you and I are proudly writing down our reasons for getting involved, and then taking the pledge — to vote.”
Obama campaign staffers have also begun posting photos of themselves with the pledge.
“Make sure you’re ready to vote this fall,” Alba writes. “Putting your hand over your heart is making a promise. Casting your ballot is keeping it.”

From what I’ve read she went to Hollywood as a pretty strong Christian, and her new “friends” there shamed her into converting to liberalism, basically told her she was ignorant and needed to be reeducated with their ideology.
These people and their personality cult mentality are dangerous.

Of course it goes without saying that while quite lovely, these young ladies are dumber than a box of hair.
They have fallen for a cult of personality, something that many authoritarian leaders throughout history have used to allow them to do all sorts of incredibly horrifying things to the people they rule, and in particular, those they perceive to be their enemies (usually their political opponents).
Something that the US government apart from all others is that the US government was designed as a government of laws, not of men. Of course, while this definition has been tested over the years by many Presidents, Obama has managed to break free of following the laws, and the congress and courts have allowed him to do so unchecked. And people like these young ladies think Obama’s “cool” for breaking the rules.
Alba referred to the Pledge of Allegiance, something she recited when she was young, though she obviously misunderstood the meaning of the Pledge. The Pledge is to an ideal, a form of government which is based on a Constitution. But Alba wants to pledge her allegiance to Barack Hussein Obama, a man. In particular, a corrupt, scheming man who wants to destroy the USA.

It’s only in authoritarian tyrannical governments that the people are expected to pledge their allegiance to their “Dear Leader.” This has been the case throughout history.

I can’t believe that this daughter of an Air Force Captain that used to go to Del Rio High School is such a liberal lefty. The rest of us, except for a couple, are all rabid Republicans.
