Unless you were born after 1996, you know Kato Kaelin. In the Year of Our Lord 1994, Kato Kaelin was famous. Hot. Headlines. Front page. In everyones mouth. On everybodys lips. TV, radio, newspapers. Kindergarten kids crayonned his name. More mentions of Kato and lawyer Kardashian than todays mentions of Kanye and Kardashians kid Kim.
He was a star of O.J. Simpsons trial for killing his wife, Nicole. At their house that night, he saw, he heard. He knew who, what and where. The prosecution labeled Kaelin a hostile witness. Unemployed, a freeloader, did he tell the truth then? The world smelled O.J.s guilt. Simpson went free.
Ask Kaelin today, this very minute, if O.J. currently jailed in Vegas on a separate charge killed his wife, and I repeat his exact words:
The statute of limitations has now passed . . . so I can now say . . . yes, he did it.
Why didnt he come forward and tell the truth? Ask why he let O.J. Simpson get away with murder, and I repeat his exact words:
I was too scared. I was terrified.
Time and his moment have passed. Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here together in memoriam of Kato Kaelins dead career. He says: People hated me. Ive been spat upon. They threw gum in my coffee.
Little bit of a personality, little bit of a talk-show host and guest, little bit of a D-list actor in Z-minus movies, little bit on game shows, poker tournaments, reality things that didnt make it. Hes now starting a Web site to answer questions, chat personalities, maybe do a book.

Huh?
You'd prefer a system where the state can try you again and again and again and again for the same crime?
Can Kato be tried for perjury?
Marcia Clark
The state failed to prove their case.
The defense team proved a cop planted evidence.
The best the jury could do was hang. I don’t like it either, but I would have been very hard pressed to convict.
Of course not, even in OJ’s case. The only regret I have is that he got away with it.
He must be broke.
**********
His fleeting moment of fame is gone and the bills keep coming. Yep, he’s broke.
I hereby sentence you to spend the rest of your life as Kato Kaelin, brainless hair boy douche, washed-up never was, and
perennial trivial pursuit answer.
There was sufficient evidence to convict OJ, that was never introduced because of their incompetence.
Vince Bugliosi's book on the subject is very damaging to the prosecutors. Bugliosi volunteered to assist, pro bono, the prosecutors, had they accepted, OJ would be behind bars for murder, not for a drummed up "kidnapping" charge that he otherwise would have walked on.
I still recall the look on Bob Kardashians face when OJ was acquitted, he could not believe it.
As I recall, the defense proved that the cop used the n word in his prior history, which in their minds proved to the jury he had to have planted evidence.
It was a long time ago, I didn't pay that much attention, but that's what I think happened.
BS
The defense team proved a cop planted evidence.
More BS
Federal civil rights action? Worked for Rodney King.
And you’ll be right again. Mix in a little P.C. too.
BS... Everyone knows the glove did it!
What? OJ killed his wife because she was white?
Yes.
Well for OJ anyway.
I recall multiple allegations of planted evidence, but no proof.
Heh heh.
There’s an aging hippie who shops the same grocery store as me. The first time I ever saw him he overheard me tell my son, “look, there’s Kato!”.
The guy still glares at me whenever we cross paths.
