He’s gone from hero to zero.
In less than a year, “Today” show host Matt Lauer’s “likability” has plummeted 25%, according to the Q Scores, an influential survey used by companies and advertisers to help make major decisions.
"Is it only 25 percent? Because it actually feels much worse," Lauer told the News.
The shocking Q Score comes on the heels of internal research conducted by NBC brass that had the same findings, The News has learned.
“It raises a flag,” said Henry Schafer, executive vice president of Q Scores.
“If you’re [the “Today” show] you have to figure out what corrective actions you can take to curtail this kind of warning signal.
These morning shows are driven by personalities — so there’s a real challenge out there for NBC News,” he said.

What’s shocking is that that no-talent jerk is still on the air.
Lauer and his cronies have made themselves irrelevant. They have alienated more than half the American population with their strong leftist agenda.
Advertisers would be wise to note the disengagement of such a large viewing audience and figure a way (local newspapers one suggestion) to reach the millions who have tuned out socialist media (most for at least the past four (4) years). No one I know watches network TV news. However, many do watch local news and weather. There is a reason Rush Limbaugh has such a high number of listeners each day; people are hungry for the REAL news (that is free of leftist slant).
It should be renamed the “yesterday” show.
We have about 30 family members that hang out here at various times and if some young wife or husband of my kids puts on any liberal SH!T the whole room gets a lecture.
That includes cartoons for my grand kids. Go outside and play. TV is not a babysitter, it is absolute poison.

Other than that, I've never had any use for Lauer, or the show he's on.
Can't blame him for NBC's horrible Olympic coverage. It was bad before Lauer, and it will be bad long after Lauer.
He did chase me away from "Royal Pains". Not that it wasn't becoming unwatchable before he guested, but I had no use for it after it was announced that he was going to be on it.
He has the touch.

I don’t get how anyone can get away with THAT, certainly not in New York, from where they broadcast.

Translation: Matt, you are not pimping the Food Stamp President adequately. We have received calls from Jay Carney, who is not really the sharpest knife in the drawer, and he is complaining. Remember what happened to Ann? I know she tried to be a little more vicious, including letting the spittle fly in a couple of interviews, but that wasn’t good enough. Look Matt, we really like you, but you’re really going to have to step it up. Let’s see some name calling, cutting the interviewee off, making obscene gestures when disagreeing, fake spitting on the floor periodically during the interview, insulting their spouses and children, etc. What we’re looking for is more of a combination of temperament of Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, and Dave Letterman. We know you can do it ... you’re on NBC and you can go any lower, well maybe CNN, but they are overloaded with crap heads already.
