Why Isn't the Price Of Gasoline a Campaign Issue?

Posted on 09/21/2012 1:37:48 AM PDT by formerlyfree

When Obama was elected the average price of gasoline was $1.78, why is this not an issue? Where will the price of gasoline be in four years if Obama is elected. This is an issue that effects EVERYONE. Why isn't it discussed more?

Aah… Because Barack Obama forgot to bring it up?

…Maybe somebody "forgot" to bring it up.

Because a RAT is in.
If McLaim had won the cost of gas would be spewed every 5 minutes.

Simple. IT makes Barry look bad, and the lame stream media always give him an affirmative action pass.

It IS an issue.
It's being discussed in every line at all gas stations.

Better ask the oh so, enlightened MORONS at the RNC and other IJITS who are "advising" (BARF) Mittens and Ryan.

IMHO, this would make a devastating ad and something everyone can relate to (we know the corrupt, biased, leftist Enemdia will never report on this) and cuts accross all socio-econmic classes; even poor people on food stamps, the unemployed, the small business owner (of which I are one) etc all feel the pinch every time we fill up...for those who can. My work van holds 36 gallons so when I fill up, I cringe.

A simple ad flooding all battle ground states or those close in polls showing the price of gas when Dear Reader took over and today (with maybe a Senior Citizen on SS at the pump bemoaning the cost, for effect) as welll as his shutting down the pipeline and his Cabinet heads/RAT Congress critters etc. doing everything in their power to deny drilling etc. would make people sit up and maybe hold O'Bummer responsible.

He promised that his energy policy would cause the cost of electricity to "necessarily skyrocket" and expressed regret that the price of gasoline had risen so rapidly; we elected him anyway...why complain now?

Way I see it, the real problem is not Obama; it's the DBM and about half of the voters. As it stands, we'll have to deal with an Obama every 4 years in perpetuity.

Four years ago I remember walking into the lunchroom at work and hearing my Dem cohorts emitting sounds of disgust and directing imprecations at “Bush and his oil buddies” over the price of gas. One of my co-workers was convinced Bush got on the phone every day and told the oil companies to raise the price of gas. There’s no arguing with stupidity like that. What are my ex co-workers (I’m retired) thinking now? Is it still Bush’s fault?
