Asked about the Fast and Furious program at the Univision forum on Thursday, President Obama falsely claimed that the program began under President George W. Bush.
“I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration,” the president said. “When Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it. We assigned a inspector general to do a thorough report that was just issued, confirming that in fact Eric Holder did not know about this, that he took prompt action and the people who did initiate this were held accountable.”
In actuality, the Fast and Furious program was started in October 2009, nine months into the Obama presidency.

Don’t worry, ABC and its comrades will be back in Romney attack mode tomorrow. They put out these type of “fair and balanced” pieces just so they can claim impartiality. But for every piece like this there are 20 in the other direction.

This is how Jake Tapper is. He is as fair as any liberal MSM reporter - perhaps the fairest. It is not surprising coming from him.
Maybe he thought since it was on a Spanish channel we wouldn’t figure it out. He can’t remember when this started - he can’t remember how much debt there was when he started. This guy is a complete imbecile. I think Romney will wipe the floor with him in the debates and we win this thing.

The Univision interview was a huge deal, and I’m betting Obama, or more likely Michelle and Valerie, are after someone’s head for letting it happen.
But, from the MSM, ....crickets.
Yet Hispanics watch Univision, and it had to hurt him with them. Tougher questions than he (or even Carney, for that matter) have ever had to face from the sycophants in the White House press corpse (misspelling fully intended, with Jake Tapper excepted—at least he tries).
