NASCAR Sprint Cup The Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
New Hampshire International Speedway is one of the most unusual tracks on the Nextel Cup Series. How unusual? The track has been described as "Martinsville on steroids." Its roots in New England racing go back to 1964, when Bob Bahre acquired a track in Oxford, Maine, which he and his son, Gary, operated until 1986.
Banking/Turns: 12° turns, 2° straights

lots of stories
Flash wins pole..
Flash is on a roll, but 47 points back is tough to make up.
NO more DNFs , for sure.. this could be a real messy race..
Only the dim bulbs won’t be watching this one....
Hey Norm and Benderville, I got 13 welfare points in the mail box today!
The Big el ZeeeRooooo here.. dang.
Hornish is listed as *NE*
HOWEVER, according to the PDF *Race Notes* on your team page, he WILL be awarded any race points he earns Sunday.
I can top that. I had a driver in my line-up (Hornish) that isn’t even racing...
And speaking of Denny - wrong tire pressure in your tires for qualifying? Gees Louise I’ve never heard of that before.
Good work, Norm.
Heading south to Kentucky tomorrow for the Nationwide race.
It’s football weather here in the midwest - probably the first time I’ve been at Ky without risking heat stroke.
A third-party feed that failed to
show Hornish as entered until
race time at Michigan earlier this
season created a lot of confusion,
but when the smoke
cleared he was awarded race
points. This week, he is trying
to make life difficult again by
staying in Kentucky to concentrate
on his day job*, but he
will race on Sunday and he will
Looks like we are losing hope of catching happydogx2. I am chasing from far behind. I can hear those hounds chasing a deer way off in the distance. In the meantime I got sprayed by a skunk a few times.
Thanks, Roccus. So it’ll be another “start in the rear” since he didn’t drive the car in qualifying. I’ll probably stick w/Vickers.

I got one driver in the top 15?????
You know it’s Fall when the drivers are going to practice and it’s 6:15am and dark on the West Coast. Watched most of the truck race last night and wonder - are there always so many wrecks in one of those races? Not many fans there; I just can’t feel the love for NASCAR truck racing.
I just got up, looked outside... 6 am has gotten very dark, when did that happen? Getting old too fast.
LOL, I know the feeling but the answer to both is “one day at a time”.
Robin’s chirping used to wake me up “yesterday” at 4:15. Their gone now to spend winter in warm climes. Remember when you were a kid that summers seemed to last forever and ever?
How did Scott Riggs work out for you...
But will WE earn points for Hornish in the league?
We’ll see, we’ll see.
I’ve got old New Hampshire photos rotating thru on the screen saver and I’m getting tinglings to go to another race. The spirit is willing but the body is weak. Oh, never mind, I just had to pee.
The good news is that the weather outlook has improved for tomorrows race. We might get this puppy in after all.
I’m worried... The Tea O Tas are dominating and I don’t have a single one on my team.
Yeah, six outa the top 7 spots. Chevy’s do have 8-13 though. Mrs. Happydog has graduated and gotten her Mickey Mouse ears at the Disney Institue in Florida. She’s worried about her connections in Denver - if she doesn’t make them she’s stuck ‘til tomorrow. Paging MtnClimber.....
Beware those mountain recluses!!! My wife’s favorite sister lives in Golden just up the creek from the Coors plant.
and don’t you have a house to paint???
It looks like you will be next years league administrator so you had better chummy up to Roccus and learn the codes now
I’ve probably got a better shot then Jeff Gordon winning the championship but it ain’t over ‘til the yodeling stops in the Rockies. I’ll get w/Roccus if that happens but you’d better get with N.R. cause someone has to put these threads together.
Would you believe that Traegerized Salmon is on the race menu for tomorrow and who or whom is going to have their chase chances dashed by crash or mechanical? My sleeper pick to win is K.K.
Yes, I would.
Ah Vox, you take the best photos. When do we eat??
Salmon is good but there is nothing to compare with ribs cooked on a Traeger. Next week we’ll try a Brisket which gets great reviews from Traeger folks.
Cool weather but no rain forecast for race time..
Loudon pre-race show up shortly on ESPN Ping!!
RaceBuddy — FRee!!
Jana’s Raiders will be running:
I’m going with
Men of Menard
New Hampshire Motor Speedway
I am running:
Flash leads Lap 1.. Smoke 2 , Shrub 3..
Competition Cartion at Lap 40..
Vikes are up on the 9ers.. Woo Hoo!!
Lap something something..
HamBone is up front!!
only two cartions so far.. lap 136 of 300.. wow.
Looks like no one risked running Hornish from the FR league. I am not showing him being scored, at least not yet.
his mindset is running Nationwide.. he should count pointwise today.. damn Yahoo. I’m hoping Labonte can pull a top 20 finish
Cartion for day brie.
they got day bree on the field in in the MetroDome too, the Refs just blow’d it up big time.. Vikes will still win..but man, these refs are bad..
I am flippering between the Broncos/Texans and the race.
