An Islamic mosque with plans to expand is now operating in a small former church that was previously occupied by a Maronite Catholic church.
The sale prompted questions--even from church parishioners--about the future of the site.
The Jafaria Islamic Society purchased the building at 1546 E. La Palma Ave. (near St. College Bouleverd) and has been using it as a mosque since June. The Islamic Society has plans to expand the building and change the facade with architecture more reminiscent of Islamic traditions.

how do we stop the mosques? they also get gov tax dollars for schools....it must stop ..
What would happen if it was exposed to the Moslems that the materials such as the concrete used in building their mosque was saturated with dog feces, bacon grease and the ashes of burnt Korans?
I have access to concrete batching, it would be nothing to add some “fibermesh” to Islamic concrete.

By advocating a Christianity that isn't some wishy-washy, namby-pamby, PC religion that is just a front for Socialism. Ever listen to a "mainline" preacher? You'd think you were listening to Obama. No wonder no one wants to go to those chuches. The hard truth is that Christianity, as practiced in a lot of churches, doesn't have much to offer. And Islam is offering something that former Christians aren't getting. It may not be a good thing but the answer is to redouble our efforts advocate for true Christianity.
what does Islam offer that Christian religion does not. they both tell you how to live.
Not unusual in this country either. Locally we have an islamic center (whatever that is) that was once a Kingdom Hall. I’d prefer the Jehovas Witnesses over these freaks any day
