Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid charged Mitt Romney with manipulating his 2011 taxes to “conform with his public statements,” after the Republican presidential challenger's return showed he paid nearly $500,000 more than he should have.
"Governor Romney is showing us what he does when the public is looking," Reid said. "The true test of his character would be to show what he did when everyone was not looking at his taxes."
Reid was referring to the Republican presidential candidate's decision not to take the full write-off on the huge amount he and his wife Ann gave to charity last year. The return, released Friday, show the couple donated some 30 percent of their $13.7 million income—but they did not take the full write-off, making their effective tax rate higher. …

This whole issue is because Romney is trying to gain approval of the liberal Dems. . He jumps through their hoops. I don’t think he would have lost votes if he had paid as little taxes as was legally required, we all do. Romneys manipulation of his taxes for political reasons does not do him any good. His constant attempt to do what the Dems. tell him, does not bode well for what he would do as President. When they told him to release his taxes he should have demanded they release theirs.
If he pays none, it’s not enough. If he pays what he’s supposed to do, it’s not enough. If he pays to much, it’s immoral.

My response at this point would be that perhaps it’s time for the one making the allegations to release his past 10 years filings and show everyone what the leading democrat in congress taxes look like for an example of what they consider a proper tax return.

As of now, I am refusing to pay any taxes. Therefore, I must be a genius.
I only wish it would. If more people thought about what they were voting for instead of the my side wins mentality this Country would not be in such horrible shape.
Harry Reid is a disgusting human being. I’m not just talking about stimulus funds borrowed from China and shackled to the backs of our children. I’m saying at his core, he is a filthy despicable inexcusable waste of protein. If Harry Reid got hit by a bus and killed, it would be a tragic waste of fiberglass and $3000 to fix the bus.
Romney now should file an adjusted return and get the 500k or whatever it is, back.
