The Roman Emperors didn’t need a Senate either, but kept it around to pretend that Rome was still a republic.
Then, as now, the perks of office kept the Senators generally quiet.
I don’t believe anything this White House says or leaks. Let’s have some proof of the accuracy of this timeline. Dems know that lying when not under oath is not illegal. Even under oath, weasel words cover for a lot.
If the senate GOP is not tough, they will be treated like the doormat that they are.
Nobody respects cowards. They got treated exactly as they deserved.
It is part of pay-to-play. The media gives them favorable coverage, in return the media gets access and the scoop that they need.
Perhaps Emperor Barack I could get his horse, Moochelle, appointed to the Senate as did the Roman Emperor Caligula.
