I spent 4 years in the Navy (3/67 - 12/70). During that period, it was rare to encounter a Leftist although there were plenty of free thinkers (I was a linguist) and lots of politics discussed in the barracks and in the bars. Mostly though, our thoughts and talk turned more toward skirts.

When you sign on the line that is dotted, you agree to stay out of political BS until you are no longer part of the uniformed services.
Given that Obamacare has not yet kicked in, there is no way that his "brother" got an operation due to this program.
Finally, since Romney was governor of the State of MA, how in the world does he have anything to do with the auto industry in MI? I was born in TN. I now live in WI. I have zero impact on industry in TN. See how that works?
I truly hope this is a fake. If it is real, this Petty Officer needs to punished. You do NOT use your uniform as a prop for political speech.
Of course it is not acceptable in uniform. But if he is really in the Navy (doubtful now, according to fellow FReepers who would know,) I’m sure absolutely nothing will come down from this utterly lawless administration. Count on it.

Not buying it, uh, Sailor. I know a lot of military personnel who will be voting for Obama. It has nothing to do with the 47% misconception. They don’t like Republicans. Many of them don’t like their commanders who are voting Republican. All of them are brave enough not to blame it on the stupid “secret 47% video.”. You’re obviously part of the nitwit crowd that can’t stand on its own two feet without blaming videos. Do you really not get it about what Romney was saying? Man, how stupid can you get? Oh. Yeah. Thx, news to me. The only time I was on a boat was the ferry btwn San Diego and Coronado. I spent my time on C-121’s, P-3’s and A-3s. We wore flight suits or fatigues, typically with no cover at all (Danang).
Doesn’t pass the smell test.
This Guy is a plant, I was a NAVY Petty Officer and here are a few points:
1)A Navy Petty Officer or any first year recruit for that fact would not be making political speech in his/her uniform.
2)A Navy Petty Officer or first year recruit would know that you don’t wear your cover(Hat) indoors.
3)A Navy Petty Officer would not use the word Petty Officer informal as was always tough that my rate always came first such as ABH-3(my rank)or your last name first. The only time one address a person by formal ranks in the Navy Petty Officer ranks is if they are your superior and even Chief are called Chief, Senior Chief or Master Chief, with the Petty Officer usually left off.

Of course a lot of todays sailors use bathroom for head, kitchen for galley, floor for deck etc etc etc...

The only reason I remember this is because of the fear I had as I walked down the side of the ship toward the wardroom in anticipation of this encounter, repeating over and over what I was supposed to say. All I really remember was that I should not remove my lid contrary to all I had been thought.
