Akron Beacon Journal Editorial Exemplifies Clueless, Lazy And Biased Media Coverage

USA --(Ammoland.com)- My hometown paper, the Akron Beacon Journal, just weighed in on the Inspector General’s “Fast and Furious” report with expected media spin. Here’s my response:

Typical Beacon Journal regressive apologia. You people haven’t done one bit of original reporting on this story and now weigh in like you’re some kind of authorities. “No evidence” hardly means “exonerated,” it means the White House has blocked efforts to obtain it.

How many whistleblowers have trusted you and become sources, giving you exclusive and information and documentation to validate it? Guess who first used the term “pad statistics” in regards to Gunwalker? Who brought the whistleblowers to the attention of Sen. Grassley and then pressured Darrell Issa to get involved? Who did Sharyl Attkisson of CBS News turn to when she wanted to learn about this story? Who has filed and published results of FOIAs, steered committee investigators to witnesses, obtained exclusive interviews with key players (including the CI at the heart of “Operation Wide Receiver”), made public internal emails, been referenced in high-level discussions between ATF management and their Chief Counsel’s office…? Who first brought details of Fast and Furious to the attention of everybody, including the nexus to the death of a Border Patrol Agent?

What? It was nobody in “official media”?

You want proof?

You want to see recent evidence of corroboration?

Why is it that “just a blogger” in Hudson, part of your circulation area, and another in Pinson, AL, have been able to consistently scoop all you “professionals” from the very beginning on this, having their work corroborated time and again, and continue to be the ones to uncover new dimensions while you “Authorized Journalists” sit back and pontificate based on NY Times and Washington Post talking points?

Congratulations on your “Food Coverage” award. David Codrea

Dear Akron Beacon - Holder wasn’t exonerated
He denied
He lied
He misinformed, and had to retract written communication to the Senate committee
Then he stonewalled
then he stonewalled some more saying that he awaits the IG’s investigation results
then he obfiscated and refused to submit specific documents
then a main witness was relocated to Afghanstan , and was unreachable (until he answered his Federal issued cellphone)
then the witness was reissued another Federal cellphone that no one can recall
then he provided 3600 pages of documentation out of 8,000 specificly requested by the Senate committee
the Predient denies any knowledge of “Fast and Furious”
then he stonewalled
Then the White House refuses to cooperate with the Senate invesitgation
then the President issued an order of “Executive Priviledge” which covers only direct communication between the White House and the “Just-Us” Department regarding “Fast and Furious”
Then the “Just-Us”Dept. IG’s report comes out and says that 14 people in the “Just-Us” Dept. and BATF should have reprimands (resulting in Holder’s key assistant resigning from the Justice Dept.)

That is not exoneration , especially when they refuse to cooperate in a criminal international investingation involving this administration walking guns to Mexican drug cartels .
This is merely postponement of accountability and responsibility .
Exoneration ? ... BullPuppies !!

If it wasn’t for the “WhistleBlowers” comming to the Senate Committee because they saw an injustice being promulgated by the “ Just-Us” Department , we never would have known about “Fast and Furious” .

The Feds would still be running guns into Mexico

And there would be more dead Mexicans , .. and Americans.

” Who first brought details of Fast and Furious to the attention of everybody, including the nexus to the death of a Border Patrol Agent? “

Brian Terry was MURDERED approximately 30 MILES INSIDE THE U.S. Border.
Through Dept. of HOMELAND SECURITY directive , he was armed with a non-lethal weapon which shot bean-bags .

The Southern border marks the limitation of our Soverign nation.
Holder offerred no explanation or appology to the Terry family until the family heard about it from a Press briefing more than a year after the fact.
Talk about insensativity !

I like it. I once protested CNN in the streets at their “headquarters”, I think in 2009.

But, I’m beginning to think we should use democrat tactics:

Just e-mail the producers, anchors, talking heads and “reporters” and ask them where they live.

(they won’t tell you, of course, but, maybe they’ll order more “Depends”.)
