Govts have a responsible to their countries youth, when needed, doesnt it?
Hmmm.... A certain government organized children around the early thirties. They taught them all sorts of wonderful songs and gave them all matching clothing.
Anybody remember the results?
By the way, I’m not calling you a “NAZI.” I’m just pointing out that you are an enabler.
Let mom & dad be responsible for it. It's their kid, not yours.
The school kids haven't. They will just continue to smuggle in their own food.
What guidance? They are told you will eat this & like it or else by order of the Federal Government . That is not guidance it is dictatorship on a small scale.
What about the 40hrs/wk they are in school?
Right grade school childrenkids should be always be able call their own shots...what do they need adults for? I doubt many parents would mind that.
A lot of things can be better but conservatives know its not always the job of fedgov to fix everything.
“So lots of folk agree our kids need to eat better but if someone we hate tries to correct that is, its bad?”
No, the problem here is government as parent. If the kid in question is 6’ 200lbs, then 850 calories will get them through the next period, but not through till dinner.
17 year old of that size, without playing a sport, should be eating about 4500 cal/day at min. Throw the sport in and you are talking about 50 to 80 more calories being needed. If every lunch is 850 cal . . .
I agree somethings yes. Some really no. In this case I see nothing wrong...except the person suggesting it is hated here.

I hear they are not even allowed to put salt on the vegetables.
In some schools, home lunches are banned. Allergies, you know.
People decide themselves. Its not your job or the Gov’ts to decide what kids eat.
OK
I heard they have to have at least 10 min of diabetic counseling before they can consume anything with sugar in it.
The difference is, R’s tend not to pass laws with stupid unintended consequences.
