President Barack Obama is having trouble drawing large crowds on the campaign trail. At the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, his campaign was forced to move his acceptance speech from the 74,000-seat Bank of America Stadium to the 20,000 Time Warner Cable Arena, citing weather as the excuse. But the media are always eager to help--for example, putting 18,000 people inside a 5,000-seat arena at an Obama event in Milwaukee on Saturday.

This is the Summerfest grounds....looking at few people milling by in the background will give you an idea of how pathetically small this gathering was.

And on a Saturday???? I took a day off to take my girls to Danny Gokey day a few years back and the entire grounds was packed.

I would venture a Captain and Tenille Revival would have gathered more folks to the Summerfest grounds on a Saturday afternoon - with a cover charge even.

The 2nd-string Fox Sunday anchor just let it go. Most of these Fox guys aren't armed with the truth anyhow, plus they want so desperately to appear "fair and balanced" they let the Obama crap slide right through without question, not even a raised eyebrow.

The Dem operatives are in full lying mode now, they don't even bother to disguise it any more. On the way home form church this AM, I heard on Fox an interview between Doug Mcelway (?) and some Obambot campaign puke on the state of the campaigns. The Obambot said it’s not abt the polls but the turn out at events and said 18,000 turned out in WI so WI is not in danger of going Pubbie...

The newly built BMO Harris arena (located north of the Marcus Amphitheater) seats 2500 in the blue section and another 2500 in the section behind it. This is where the 0bama event was.



The Marcus Amphitheater has a capacity of 23,000. The BMO Harris arena is now located on the right of this photo where the ferris wheel is.

Since the BMO Harris arena is new, the national media must of assumed that the event was in the Marcus Amphitheater and calculated 80% of 23,000, getting the number of 18,000. The actual attendance was actually closer to only 4,000 people. The average attendance on an average day at Summerfest is about 100,000.
